I was speaking specifically of Basel. That doesn't mean that they aren't all morons.

Actually, that Cinco de Moron guy is the worst. Basel is just dumb.

edit....the guy calls maxiep maxipad and then defends it. The best part was pointed out over there how he called the departed childish or said they were acting like 4 yr olds and then calls names like a child. (I call names but I admit that I do it because I can be very childish)

What kind of debate did you do? I did parliamentary-style debate as an undergrad. It was fun stuff. No preparation, just talk off the top of your head (or in my case, out of my ass).

I think critical thinking was one of the most awesome classes ever. You learn all the fallacies of logic, then learn how to deconstruct arguments. So fun for message boards.

So if any of you readers are in college, take Critical Thinking. That class was just simply awesome!

DaRizzle, did it really take you this long to figure out that I'm completely full of it? I just love mocking Kobe.

So you admit all your argument on the other thread are homer, fun loving, non-factual bullshit?

No, I believe he raped that girl. I do believe he put his ego in front of the team. But I'm certainly not above doing a bit of Laker trolling. :ghoti:

Rasmussen just released their new polling data.

That's the style man. I loved it. Went to natioanals once. It was awesome. They even brought some debaters over from Ireland. Probably my favorite moment was debating military strategy against the Air Force Academy. Good times.

Seconding this. That class opened up a whole new way of thinking for me.

I'm not sure how it helps on message boards, where some arguments go downward really quickly :) ... but it's still a great class.

They go over all that in debate too. It's great. The key is to remember all the falacies and then be able to apply them.

Rawse is awesome. He's trying to show us that he reads the boards (obviously), but all he did was make himself look like an idiot by quoting things I never said on BBF. This guy has no idea how to make an argument. All he accomplished was maybe drive more business to this site. I love this guy.

Let's talk Trail Blazers. The BBF drama is getting old.

I mainly lurked over there under a couple different handles. I plan on posting more over here now that I found it. I liked BBF because of the heavy traffic and constant Blazer updates. It was one stop shopping over there. A lot of the members I related to over there are now here. I think this will be my new Blazers forum.
