Not a huge Rosenthal Fan but will commend him for a well conducted interview. Always thought Girardi was a classy individual this interview proved my opinion correct.

It should be cashman. He can save money on the intercom.

Everytime Cashman calls Boone will whistle that old '66 James and Bobby Purify Tune "I'm Your Puppet"

The day Girardi was pathetically kicked out by Trashman, I stated "the little POS" will be calling
all the on field shots. Boone is the prototypical "yes" man, not my kind of field leader!

^^^^ great insightful interview into Joe's world, head and heart.

Love his mention of catching the greatest Pitcher, ie Mo'; who was never off target less an inch or 2 at the most, if he ever rarely was off target at all...

and gotta' admire a Family Man in this sport, hat's off to this::tiphat:

" When I was with the Cubs I had the opportunity to play with Andre Dawson, Rick Sutcliffe, Ryne Sandberg, and two fine catchers, Damon Berryhill, and Joe Girardi.

Ok, now that I've thrown a fit, I'll buy into Kay's comment: "If your going to gamble on a Yanx Skipper, then gamble with a guy like Aaron Boone"....

Fuck Kay, backstabber, what are his qualifications to be in on a manager selectee. Now the Sports Press sees Cashman as a GM with talent at picking out ball player. Longtime Yankee Fans will to a person state that one World Championship since 2000 ain't worth a shit in the Yankees tradition. Going to be interesting to see what moves are made during the trade meetings.

... aside from having no experience, Boone does have his strong points. I guess only time will tell.

Yanks have enough talent everywhere and with another year of experience for the young guys and the incoming talent from below and probably ohtani added this will be a tough team to fuck up.

yep, we're on the same page. I realize it's not going to do me anymore good to be pissed off about Joe's departure, tho' I'll never be happy with it.

I wish Boone the best, the Team better. Hope he's not another Ausumusass.

Hope he keeps Dad out of the dugout. Loved Bob Boone's catching prowess, but his managerial skills flat out sucked, ie bob's....

Never can I forget Rickey Henderson stating in SI: the one catcher I did not like to steal on, was the same guy who too often threw me out leading off at first base, and seems like he threw me out stealing more than any other Catcher...

hope to hell he doesn't do his Brad Ausumus or Craig Counsell impression as skipper, the latter two imo, have no clue as Mgr's....
