Curry isn't terrible but he won't be worth what some other team will give him. He's easily replaceable. I don't think he's as good at defense as some here do. I actually think he's pretty poor defensively. He only has one offensive skill and he wasn't very helpful all playoffs except for one game.
Curry isn't talented enough to be a great starter, but he's an excellent reserve. He's a passable defender (i.e. he doesn't kill on you on that end of the floor), a great shooter and is a competent ball-handler and passer. That skillset is immensely valuable in a team dynamic, even if he's not a world-beater as an individual talent. I don't think Portland will be able to match the best offers he gets, and it'll be a shame to lose him.
that's fine and your prerogative. People stand beside their own bad hot takes all the time. I have myself. Didn't make me right most of those players on that list I gave you had better seasons for Portland than Curry did this year
The two halves of your sentence are at war with each other. Unless this is one of those "good = bad" things the kids like.
Has anyone worked out what Aaron Gordon is? He kind of lacks the skills to be a SF but is shooting a really low % so presumably he doesn't play like a low post guy. I think Orlando would jump at a Gordon-for-CJ trade, which should mean we shouldn't do it.
I don't want Aaron Gordon....he's a highlight reel who doesn't produce at that level game to game. We can do better than Aaron Gordon to build a contender
