That's exactly what it's like. It's horrible. No cure, little treatment, and with every attack, your hearing becomes irreversibly worse.

I haven't had a dizzy attack in a few years. I hope it stays that way.

Was listening to sports talk radio today, because AH died while his conviction is under appeal he is now considered innocent. Now that he is innocent a $5 mill bonus under his old contract with the Patriots kicks in.

Also his family has requested that his brain be tested for CTE. Under the class action settlement with the NFL if AH has CTE his family gets $5 mill,

Also CTE gives a hell of a defense for the civil trial.

So, be a dad to his daughter from prison or leave her $10 mill?

$10 mill was the correct choice.

Nah, he found a very persuasive lawyer who talked him into killing himself. The legal fees in defending his estate from multiple lawsuits is going to be YUGE!

    Wow. I'm actually speechless.

That being said.....nobody in their right mind thinks he was any kind of innocent. Regardless of what his appeals said.

I hope he found peace before he went.

His appeal wasn't heard yet. Just the fact that he died while his case was being appealed makes him innocent according to Massachusetts law.

Just like here in the forum if anyone who was previously banned dies I will unban their account. Because I'm nice like that.

I agree that in the final analysis he was responsible for his own actions. But he was enabled every step of the way, his entire life. Warning signs of violence and disturbance were ignored or glossed over because he was an athlete who could make someone tons of money.

So how do people justify saying Hernandez was responsible for his own actions but Bill O'Reilly was a victim? Admittedly O'Reilly never killed anyone but he's a much older man and for decades was paid millions of dollars while his employer shelled out more millions to cover up his illegal actions, including assaults. Isn't O'Reilly responsible for his actions? And Trump? Is it because they are old white men they get a pass while a young athlete of color is "responsible for his actions" and the world is better without him?

    Oh Jesus.

This thread isn't about Trump or O'Reilly. Do you REALLY hate those guys so much that you can't go in a thread without bringing them up?

Besides a comment he made, there's no evidence that Trump has ever assaulted anyone. And as for O'Reilly, I have no clue what's going on with him, since I don't follow gossip. Nor do I watch his show, nor have any interest in the man whatsoever.

This thread is about Hernandez. If you want to make an argument about HIM, that's fine. Leave the others out of it; it has nothing to do with them.

Hernandez left 3 suicide notes including one to his lover in prison.

AARON HERNANDEZ'S SEX LIFE PROBED AS MURDER MOTIVE, POLICE SOURCE SAYS

    Motivation to Murder?

One of the notes left by Hernandez was to his prison boyfriend, who is now on 24/7 suicide watch, multiple law enforcement sources confirm. Hernandez’s sexuality would, of course, not be relevant save for the fact that an intimate relationship he allegedly had with a male former high school classmate was at the center of the investigation into Lloyd’s murder.

Ernest Wallace, a co-defendant in the Lloyd murder case, told detectives the victim had called Hernandez a “schmoocher,” which was taken by Hernandez and his companions as a gay slur. Wallace was also recorded saying during a jailhouse visit with Tanya Singleton, Hernandez’s cousin, that he would not have helped Hernandez get rid of the murder weapon—a crime for which he is now serving a 4½-to-7 year sentence on accessory to murder charges—if he had known Hernandez was a “limp wrist,” multiple sources say. Singleton was accused of helping Wallace discard of Lloyd’s murder weapon and was later sentenced to two years probation with one year under house confinement after pleading guilty to criminal contempt for refusing to cooperate with investigators in Boston investigating the double murder. Prosecutors in both Bristol and Suffolk counties said Hernandez had promised to set up a trust fund for Singleton’s children for her silence but never did.

Hernandez’s alleged longtime male lover, the high school friend, was interviewed extensively by authorities after Lloyd’s murder, and was forced to testify in front of a grand jury. Law enforcement officials also say Hernandez moved a large amount of money into three accounts shortly before his arrest for the Lloyd killing: one account was for his fiancée; a second was for his daughter; the third, where the most money was moved, was for that friend.

Hernandez’s secrets went well beyond his sex life, according to court testimony and police records. His brushes with the law for extreme acts of violence began when he was playing football at the University of Florida. In 2007, Hernandez, then 17, was identified as a person of interest in a double shooting.

I don't get what you mean, SLy, about being innocaent and getting his contract. He was convicted of the illegal possession of a weapon at a crime (iirc) and sentenced to 5 years. That alone could've voided his NFL contract, right?

I heard on more than one sports radio show that his conviction is vacated and that part of his previous contract with the Pats now applies.
