Absolutely true. It was his actions in response that are the most egregious. This sperates him from all others. He lead the Nation to begin Civil War. No other has done this despicable thing.
the South did....and called itself a nation...Jefferson Davis...president of his country at the time....that's why it's a Civil War...soon followed by Grant's Indian wars which also tended to practice genocide against the indigenous population..not exactly uniting us with the locals....but they were not European...which I guess would be your reasoning for the other war being worse.....nothing great about it...war sucks, you know that
Aren't they here state funded highways and federally funded highways? I've always interpreted it as a state route is funded by he state. An interstate is funded by the Feds. Am I wrong? So the term interstate is not reflecting the actual highway and where it goes, but the fact that many states paid for it?
For example. 101 goes through both California and Oregon but is state funded on each side. This it's a state route. Not an interstate?
We can argue all we want about who was the best and worst of our presidents. The truth is it doesn't matter. Presidents don't really run our country, a large conglomarate of corporations do. You think you are free. Think again. Presidents are just another distraction for us.
Depends on how you judge. Trump has accomplished so little legislatively that at this point in time I think many could be judged far worse. But if you judge based onwhat he wants to do, he would be the worst in my lifetime.
I can't accept this version of Lincoln. At that time, the newspapers outright lied and the leadership quality of commanders was horrible. We should not forget that his cabinet senators and congressmen were corrupt and pure assholes.
Lucky for you that you'll probably outlive him. Otherwise he could be the last one in your lifetime. Seeeeeeeee. https://www.yahoo.com/news/donald-trump-apos-might-refuse-114407319.html
∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆ The internet is dumbing us down. I'm old enough to know this is stupid. Some dumbass millennials will be telling co-workers about this tomorrow.
Oh I don't know. I did a research essay on Lincoln my senior year in HS. Ha! I got to spend a bunch of time at the Willamette U library to do this assignment. I'll save the why, but just to make it short, I had a teacher that loved Carl Sandburg. Some smart ass replies got me the assignment. Well you know what I wrote, completely against the grain. It damn near cost me, but in the end my math teacher and the principal persuaded the English teacher to change the grade. I am not at all sure I would recommend the same but it was fun. Lincoln was a despicable sucker, not all the deity we have pictured for us.
Sorry, meant the link I posted. Your story reminds me of a friend who was trying to get better grades but always got a C from one of his teachers. He wrote a book report where the first paragraph was on topic but the rest he made up about a Superman vs Batman story. He knew she wouldn't read it and sure enough he got a C. He thought he had her busted, he went to the principal to complain and the principal said he'd talk to the teacher. My friend talked to the principal again and he said the teacher told him she gave him a C because it was inventive even though he didn't follow the lesson plan.
