Since I'm one of the few who regularly listen to Isaac/Suke they had Freeman on the other day (if my fading memory serves) and they basically said "yeah Quick follows the season hard" and then takes the summers off and lets Joe do the draft/rumor following. I interepreted the comments as Quick basically ignoring what happens during the off season and taking an extended vacation. I believe he knows very little---I'm MUCH more inclined to listen to what Freeman has to say @ this point.

Oh and a huge ++ to the "Canzano sucks but Quick I can stand" comment.

Then maybe our definitions of 'hating on' are different. What I meant was, you spent all day diminishing and criticizing basically every aspect of his game in order to try and prove a point (and I could care less, btw). I just fail to see the difference in that and a few people diminishing Jason Quick's "update".

Anyways, still waiting to hear how I'm jealous of J. Quick...

Gosh, I'd hate to think the Clipper's GMs of the past have opinions more legit than mine. They certainly have greater access, but the decisions they've made prove that they (Baylor) didn't have opinions of much merit. Mine are better, as well as most on this board.

We all have our biases. Personally, I just think this is Quick's way of saying:
Everyone's got biases, including Jason Quick.

Are you freaking serious? Kirk did way better than Blake. Good Lord some of you people.

He didn't guard Rondo, he guarded Ray Allen and Paul Pierce mostly.

So, to go to the exteme, if a MORON was constantly around the team - that individual's opinions and analysis about the broad topics of the TrailBlazers and the NBA in general would be more legitimate than any other individual on planet Earth.

    You feel that way? Really?

You sure put a lot of stock into proximity. Oh, and non-anonymity. These are the key factors in all those that have excellent analysis skills....says you and few others.

I am not sure why? Certainly out-of-the box thinking (to put a kind spin on it).

Quick has always been a HUGE Blake guy, so it's not surprising in the least he wouldn't like any move to replace Blakey. I remember one Quick chat where he spent 5 minutes ranting about how Portland fans have it all wrong and Blake is one of the best players on the team.

Quick and I disagree on this....strongly.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Quick has an opinion and signs his name to them. That's cool, he's paid for it so he's not anonymous. He's allowed to have an opinion and everyone here, anonymous or not, is allowed to agree/disagree with that opinion.

Whether his opinion is worth more than another person's should be based on the reasoning he displays. An unreasoned opinion from Quick has no more validity than an unreasoned opinion from a random person on the Internet. Reasoning is king when it comes to analysis.

Now, when it comes to reporting, Quick has more validity since he has access to team sources that most/all of us do not have. But this thread wasn't about reporting by Quick (except for his reporting of what LMA said, which I don't think anyone has criticized Quick for), it was about his opinions.

Totally. I'm so sick of hearing how Blake got mad at a practice and kicked a folding chair and that incident somehow turned the season around a couple years ago. His toughness is massively overrated.

Blake is a poor distributor for a team that has Oden in the post. We need someone with better court vision who can get Greg the rock in areas where he can have success.

Clearly you can't read for comprehension. I am wondering how Hinrich is the answer for the defense's problem of allowing penetration.

Yep, no use having a poster who actually challenges you, right "HurraKane212"? Put 'em on ignore, even when this deal doesn't go done.

Correct, and Blake was blasted on this board for not guarding Aaron Brooks. How does Hinrich solve this problem?

I'm assuming you are calling Jason Quick a MORON. All I ever see of you is a screen name with some posts. I'll side with Quick on this one until you put your name behind your criticism.

Since when has there ever been a perfectly proportional line to the salary to production ratio in the NBA. That is purely flawed logic.

In fairness to Quick, I will say this: if this was a proposed UFA signing, I doubt people would be jumping for joy at the notion of paying Hinrich $9 or $10 million a year.

The fact that Hinrich is at least moderately over-paid is a valid consideration, even if Quick stated it crudely.
