Also consider the amount of cap room we"d have.Either use it or hold onto it for the great FA class next year

Unmentioned anywhere is the fact that Cleveland has a bevy of other future picks that we could demand.

I'm thinking if he's serious about wanting to stay long term then it's probably not worth another rebuild, but if he's on the fence about staying, Cleveland would be able to offer us a boatload. Maybe a preemptive deal like this is worth considering?

Ooh--I've got it! LA to cleveland; 1 and Zeller to Phoenix; 5, 19, 30, Thompson, and Gortat to Portland.

    Thoughts?

big reason to trade for Gortat is to pair with LA, if LA's gone might as well not go for the aging center.

If we traded LMA, no way I want Gortat.

I'd rather just stick with getting 1, 19 and TT

Who do we get for #5? Seems like that is 1-2 spots too low from whom we really want in Oladipo.

Dieng looking like much more than a "safe rotation player" right now.

Also, check out his overall stats: leading the world cup in Efficiency.

    Oh Dieng.

C.J. has a lot to live up to if he's going to pan out.

The difference being, Senegal is actually beating some people, in massive upsets. Plus Dieng can play defense...

It's interesting that a draft that was universally derided as weak looks like it has so many solid players.

The draft is a crap shoot, LaMarcus is a bona fide superstar in his prime. Loyalty is making a comeback. I wouldn't bite on any of the trades in this thread and when it comes to LA, I'd reward loyalty with loyalty
