    It was Mexico before it was America. (I heard somewhere that that was the difference between "Chicano" and "Latino" is that the former is people who were in LA (and other regions) before it was America.

    But, seriously native americans actually at one point all "immigrated" here long ago crossing the frozen bering strait and making their way south. Indigenius Mexicans are native americans of Mexico.
