And once again, maybe you think that at 6'8 you should atleast grab 5 rebounds a game, but you don't have to grab 5 a game to be successful. There are alot of things to take into account for why they don't have to grab that many rebounds per game. For one Adam Morrison is not asked to go inside to grab rebounds that much. So he is already at a disadvantage in the rebounding area by not going down low alot. Then he has his own teamates that grab alot of rebounds like Emeka Okafor, to deal with. Finally, his team is not a fast break team, they don't shoot as much as other teams do. So I don't see where "he should be grabbing five rebounds per night," I don't think he should be averaging 5 rebounds per game at all.Furthermore there are plenty of players that are 6'8 or over that play atleast 25 minutes a night and don't average atleast 5 a game.
it's called a rookie wall. He's hitting it earlier because he's needed to score a little more. To make this assumption after what, 3 games? that's ludicrous. He'll still be a great scorer in this league.
Yeah, Morrison did very well tonight. He got that running jumper going for him, and he hit a couple threes. He's really a crafty offensive player, and he'll be averaging 20 in no time.
I was just trying to start a discussion here. I think he'll be a good scorer in this league for many, many years..I agree with most people, I think he's hitting a rookie wall. He's got such good shooting confidence, and he's a main part of the Bobcats offense, I think he'll be out of his slump soon.
As I was sitting in the Garden watching the Celtics gam last night, something just hit me like a rock. Adam Morrison reminds me so much of Wally Szczerbiak. Both can't do much more past score (obviously Wally is better than Morrison in most categories).
