Saying Will Barton "knows" the offense is like saying Jessica Simpson knows how to act because she's done it before.

Will Barton knows ONE kind of offense - play completely out of control and be sure to get a shot off every time you touch the ball. Nobody else is going to get touches when Barton is "running" the point.

Ok, everyone else is right. the 4 players that were here all last year in a more complex version of the same system they are running in SL, shouldn't have a fucking clue where to be or what to do.

I'd literally rather have brain surgery than argue about this

Why do you always have to take it so personally when someone disagrees with you?

There's a difference between knowing the offense and running the offense. Even if the 4 you mentioned know the offense forward and backward, it doesn't solve the problem being discussed here - getting our bigs (specifically Robinson) the ball in position to score. Just because he knows the offense, you can't expect Joel Freeland to bring the ball up the court and run the offense. He just doesn't have the right skill set - none of the 4 mentioned do. The only one of the 4 that they have TRIED to use to run the offense is Will Barton and he is not, and never will be, a PG. He's a one-dimensional, out of control, SG who looks for his own shot first (and second and third and always...).

Not everything has to be an argument. People can disagree, share and discuss opinions without all the anger and drama.

people disagree with me all the time. It's the asinine arguing that players that know the system cant' run it. Just not worth it

How is that asinine? A center doesn't walk the ball up court and set up the offense. And BNM is actually right. Barton is the only one that semi-capable of bringing the ball up court. BUt we all know he is hardly the guy you want to set up your offense.

So, which of the four do you want running the offense? Barton has tried and failed miserably (not the right skill set or mindset). Claver has been injured. That leaves Freeland and Leonard, not exactly PGs.

You may not agree, but it's a legitimate argument that our bigs are suffering due to our lack of experience PG play on our summer league roster. Hardly seems asinine to me.

And god forbid Leonard should start feeding the ball into Robinson in the low post. Even if he does it to perfection, everyone will crucify him because he's not feeding HIMSELF the ball in the low post.

Everyone in this thread is playing dumb, pretending they don't know that McCollum is the PG, and has proven he cannot play PG.

I would be ecstatic if he could give us a solid 8 rebounds a game as a reserve!

I don't know how many 8 RPG backups there have even been.

We had one I believe. Didn't mark Bryant give us 8 a game one season?

But it was a different game back then.

Edit: his highest was 4.6 as a blazer. Guess I was off by a lot! Lol

I'm going to say no way, BEFORE I look it up. Bryant wasn't anything outstanding as a rebounder (or anything else).
