I think they need to expand the replay rules and what you can challenge and add a ref up in the box who can signal down and have flags thrown.
I don't like as many flags being thrown as there are now but since so many are being thrown might as well make sure they are thrown correctly.

I think Pereira said that the Rules Committee is going to look at it this offseason, b/c it happened in another case earlier in the year.

Kaepernick is more of a reason for them losing right now than any call the refs have made. I told Seahawks fans the same thing when they whined after the loss in the SB to the Steelers.

For a game with this importance both teams and the refs have been pretty sloppy at times.

Yes. Bounces and bad calls are equal.

    LOL.

Do you think instant replay will get to the point it is overused?

Oh I don't disagree, generally, but they wouldn't be in the game without him.

In the end, it's all about making the plays. The refs have hurt the Niners, Hawks have taken advantage, and the Niners haven't made enough plays.

Whoever ends up winning, I will be rooting for NFC. I loathe Denver, and I absolutely hate Peyton Manning.

So yeah, I hope the NFC team absolutely destroys Denver.

49ers and Kaepernick or Pete's baby which has been consistant all year long.

    I'm going with his D.

The most egregious calls that stand out, IMO, are that last fumble, the hit by Whitner, and the weak shove in the back personal foul. NONE of them had any real bearing, ultimately, on the game.

BG, do you think that the holding call against Sherman that directly preceded the long run was called properly?

Aikman not liking it to the contrary, the hit by Whitmer was illegal. The running-into-the-kicker was a miss that led to a score, but so was the holding call on Sherman. The fumble was not called correctly on the field, but no harm from it. What else is upsetting you? As others have said, it's too sloppy and inconsistent for a championship game, but you think it's given an advantage?
