Arvloski's striking looked tight too. I thought he might of been able to defeat Fedor.

Arlovski was beating him to the punch, but he got over aggressive and BAM, good night.

    great counter punch.

Arlovski was winning the fight. Fedor looked tentative. But Arlovski's suspect chin was exposed again. The shot really reminded me of when he jumped in and tried to finish Tim Sylvia and got caught in very much the same fashion. I guess he didn't learn from that mistake. Fedor reigns supreme, as usual.

    Overall impressions....

-- Tito Ortiz sucks balls as a commentator and a ring interviewer, no surprise there. The guy is a numskull.
-- I can't remember who said it, but whoever said the overhead cam was "from a birds perspective" is retarded.
-- Gilbert Yvel got punished by Herb Dean tonight. No doubt in my mind he let that go forever because of Yvel's history.
-- Vitor Belfort might be back ladies and gentlemen. In related news, Lindland might not be.
-- Babalu Sobral fought the way he always fights. Sokoudjou has no excuses. The guy has no heart/cardio.
-- Dan Lauzon should get an Oscar nod for his "hurt groin" tonight. Two out of three shots didn't hit him with anything but a breeze.
-- Josh Barnett would've beaten the Fedor Emelianenko we saw tonight.
    -- Fedor's protege sucks.
-- So does "thug" style MMA. Man, seeing that in the tale of the tape brought me back to the old UFC's.
-- Production quality still lacking for Affliction, but they did a good job overall of presenting the fights.
-- The ring doesn't work well most of the time compared to the cage.

I wonder if Fedor and Barnett will ever fight. Barnett said they were good friends and I know a lot of MMA guys dont really want to fight their buddies.

Barnett has said that he is willing to do it, and Fedor is down for whatever, so I expect this to happen in three or four months.

-Sokoudjou sucks. The only thing he has going for him is his power and his age. He is still very young so there is a lot of time to learn for him, but he really needs to get a ground game. Maybe changing camps would help him. He has got awesome power, but if he can't knock out his guy in the 1st round, he gets frustrated and burns out.
    -Tito Ortiz does indeed suck.
-Dan Lauzon is a bitch. I hate him. I couldn't stand is acting job, but he just completely outclassed Green on the ground. Completely.
-Arlovski got over confident. He controlled that first round and was landing some good shots. He should have kept doing what he was doing, because for at least one round, he had Fedor beat.

Also, I want to agree with you guys about Scott Farrell. The guy's voice is like a cheese grater on the ears. Does he smoke cigarettes or eat them?

That's exactly how he lost to Sylvia.

Pretty much. He got greedy both times.

However he did beat Ben Rothwell in a similar fashion.

Fedor is the GOAT but I always seem to find myself rooting against him. Tonight was no different. When Arlovski started to pick at him and had Fedor backing up, I thought tonight could be the cherry popper. Nope. It will be a tough loss to cope with for AA.

AA has to be disappointed because he was having early success against Fedor.
