Wow, stunning. Terrible for Affliction. This could be it.

Also, if ever there was motivation for Fedor to jump ship, this debacle is it.

according to Kevin Iole at yahoo sports, not only is Affliction done with promoting MMA events, they're about to sign a merchandising agreement with the UFC so they can sponsor UFC fighters and have them wearing their shirts etc at UFC events.

no word yet on the status of the fighters contracts.

also mentioned, Strikeforce and Affliction were close to a merger deal, but it fell through in the last day or so.

I wonder how the Affliction fighters feel about going from Affliction pay to UFC pay.

If they are smart and want the best in the world, they'll switch over no concerns. Get it done, Dana.

Supposedly Affliction only had 3,000 tickets sold for the event, and PPV buy predictions were very low. Barnett's withdrawal may only have been a scapegoat for Affliction canceling the show when really it was financially unfeasible.

If anybody cares--and at this point why would you--Josh Barnett's second sample also tested positive for PED's. Shocker, I know.
