Like others have said, our pick and roll defense has always been my biggest frustration with this team. It infuriates me that they can't seem to figure it out, game after game. All Pop had to do was watch game film of us against Phx

Well, Houston exposed it too, but McHale was too stupid to abuse it.

I would have picked Stotts if there was an option to. Since there wasn't, I picked LMA. Missing those easy bunnies and playing soft is killing me...

But Terry should be able to adjust. Most of us have been players. Some of us have been coaches. I've been a referee for 11 years. I've seen every pick and roll coverage you could imagine. There is no one way to do it. There are many ways. Terry needs to give them different looks and simply is not. His defensive schemes have pretty much sucked all season. No one is "blaming Terry now". We've been blaming him all season for this sorry Defense. The fact that he does not use multiple looks to defend the pick and roll is a detriment to the team and shows his lack of attention to the Defensive end. He needs help in this area if we are to advance farther than the 2nd round. :MARIS61:

I say it's the homers who refused to admit to themselves that we still have a lot of work to do before being taken seriously

Lopez you guys.. Comes out strong for the first 4 minutes of the first quarter and then shies away and contributes very little for the rest of the game. He should be winning the centre matchup v Splitter both statistically and in terms of general performance.
He did have a nice cheeky block on Manu in game 2, but Manu was probably going to just brick it off the backboard anyway. And he blocked it out of bounds so the Spurs got it back. And scored a 3.

Can't speak for all the homers, but I knew going into these playoffs we still have a lot of work to do. I'm just enjoying the fact that our season is still going into mid May, and we're gaining valuable playoff experience in the meantime.

none of them, it's the respect they've shown to the Spurs. I respect the spurs a hell of a lot. But when your in a competition against them. You have to compete. I do believe the Blazers can hang with the spurs and not lose by 20 or more.
But with the respect these two teams have for eachother it's just a wash.

I highly believe if the Blazers would have got OKC or the Clippers. They Blazers wouldn't be down 0-2 right now. Would be at least 1-1.
But with the respect the Blazers have for the Spurs I just don't see the "want to get dirty".(that's not calling for nards to be put in and get a flagrant 2) It's just calling for some dislike.
teams respect each other too much.

Oh hey look, Mediocre Man turns another thread into a rant about S2!

Can we expect anything else from him next season? Because this go-to move is FUCKING BORING.

You're right, but I started to see a little more nastiness from our guys in the second half of game 2, like they finally woke up and were ready to fight. Hopefully they can carry it into the Rose Garden!

I put it on LMA. W/a close second to our defense specifically not having the bigs step up on the PnR out of the god damned paint. There's only really three guys on their team that drive to the hoop w/success. Manu, Parker, and Mills. Fucking get the bigs to step the fuck out on the PnR.

Oh and STOP LEAVING YOUR MAN WIDE OPEN ON THE 3 LINE! (I'm looking at you DAME and NICO).

I would vote all of the above. The team is playing like dogshit. They can't do anything right.

I would vote you for bringing all these spurs trolls, and for jinxing us by trolling the spurs board for years.

I'm not really disappointed in any one player. I give full credit to the Spurs for showing this Blazers team what it means to play for keeps in the playoffs ... If we didn't have a rooting interest in this series, I get the feeling people would be raving about just how awesome the Spurs are.

I think it has to be LMA. Think when he gets the ball he has to make his move faster. trying to back down splitter is what the spurs want. Spurs are in his head big time. don't mind him shooting but he has to do it quicker. everytime he gets it there is 4 or 5 dribbles trying to back splitter down. Get it and shoot or drive. Splitter is good, but he's not going to block the shot, he can't jump.
