well then... which nba team in ct should i root for?

johnson seems more combo to me. he played sg in summer league more then point. hes another bayless with less jumper but better defense.

NY or BOS, which ever is closer...years ago people were fans of their local teams because of the accessability. With USA Today and the Internet, guys like you can pretend to be fans of any team you want. Frankly, I'm surprised your not a Yankee and Steeler fan too. The Lakers are always looking for fair-weather fans too, go over there and complain about Kobe's finger.

Not really true. I grew up a fan of the Atlanta Braves, but I lived in Portland. Why? Because the Braves were on WTBS every night They are still my favorite team, and I've only been fortunate enough to see them play 5 times in person.

Plus, is being a Blazer fan really on par with being a Yankee or Steeler fan? The Blazers are kind of a cult following, while the Yanks/Blazers are like saying U2 is your favorite band.

Doesn't hurt that the Braves did so well in the 90's and early 00's, does it? Oh, and Mix is a Bills fan, too? He probably has a Jim Kelly jersey he can rock in CT...here's my prediction, you probably love the Pittsburgh Penguins as well.

My uncle played on those Braves. Or at least the early 80's Braves. I'm not sure how old you are.

I thought you liked teams in sport towns? Atlanta and the Bills aren't 1 sport towns.

Does your uncle's name rhyme with Pail Durphy? I was a kid then, and that's when I started loving the Braves. Brett Butler, Rick Mahler, Rafael Rameriz, Claudell Washington, Glenn Hubbard, Dale Murphy, Gene Garber, Bob Horner, Bruce "Eggs" Benedict, Phil Niekro...

    Nope. Ken Dayley.

He was the 3rd pick in the 81' draft behind Strawberry and some other guy.

His pitching coach back then with the Braves was Bob Gibson. He said he was an ass, the head coach was Joe Torre. He was traded to Cards and was much more successful.

My dad played high school ball against Dale Murphy and said he hit 3 dongs against them. I guess Murphy was an absolute freak in high school.

Murph was a freak in MLB as well and should be in the Hall of Fame. His only fault was swinging at breaking balls way out of the strike zone. Used to drive me nuts.

I do remember Ken Dayley, but moreso as a St. Louis Cardinal.
