Did I say it was much better than Jefferson? No. Does Jefferson have a solid post game? YesDavid West can hit the 20 foot jumper at a good clip. Can Jefferson do that? NoAs players offensively at the 4, West is more versatile. You see, being "more versatile" doesn't always mean that you are the better player. I'm not saying West is better than Jefferson. I don't have an opinion on the two. Hell, I think Jefferson will eventually be one of the top 5 offensive post player in the league in a few years if he works on his conditioning. I am speaking about versatility in terms of what the player is able to do on the court. This is what makes David West more attractive to me; his ability to hit jumpers at a good clip on the perimeter, his driving ability, and his quickness in the low post. And David West is the go-to guy, I don't know what Hornets games you have been watching. If you haven't noticed, he was our top scorer, has been so for the past two years, and has hit game winning shots in the past.</div>The team was also 29-24 with West in the lineup, so we are a much better team when he's at full strength.

See, you work around his post abilities once again. Al Jefferson is a much more versatile scorer in the post (which you agreed with), and he can also hit the 10 footer. So in conclusion... my point is restated ONCE AGAIN... the only thing West has on Al Jefferson is more range on his jump shot.

Maybe you didn't understand; it wasn't about versatility in the post, it was about what they are able to do on the court. David West is able to do more on the floor than Jefferson. You're talking about versatility in terms of low post moves. ONCE AGAIN, since you want to put caps to sound all buff, I will stick with my opinion and say that I would have West because of his body of work on the floor overall.

OK... Al Jefferson is a "more versatile 4." He's a more versatile scorer in the post by a large margin, he's just as quick, and he can knock down the 10 foot jumper consistently. Now tell me, what can David West do better than Al Jefferson except shoot the 18 footer? Absolutely nothing.

    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>As players offensively at the 4, West is more versatile.</div>
Explain why you think this. Al Jefferson is more effective in the post and can score in a variety of ways that West couldn't dream of, he's just as quick, he has an outstanding hook that is one of the best in the league, and he can hit the short jumper. This brings me back to my original point once again... all David West has on Al Jefferson is more range on his jump shot.
