I don't think America stands for freedom. America is one of the most corrupt countries in today's world. Their politics is heavily mixed with religion, they take advantage of other nations, they brainwash their populace, they invade innocent countries, and they feed lies to the public. There is something hugely fucked up going on, and I don't like it one bit. Its about time people open their eyes, and see the hatred in USA. America have problems with dropping things - They obviously still haven't gotten over slavery, or 9/11. They cannot continue to label all Muslims as terrorists, it's outrageous.
That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. But without America, every nation in Europe would speak German right now and have a picture of Hitler in front of their room. Simple as that. 1991 Bosnians were being murdered, inside Europe, and the Europeans didn't give a fuck (the majority of them), until the US stepped up and stopped the Serbian aggression. Fast forward to 1998, Albanians were being murdered, I had to leave my house (which was burned later) and Europe again didn't give a fuck, until the US stepped up again and led that bombardment of Serbia and saved the day in Europe yet again, and brought freedom to my nation.
Just to clarify things, no one thinks that Obama is Muslim, we were saying that terrorist groups MIGHT decide to consider him as their own. It wasn't meant to offend anyone
Exactly, but also my point is what if he was? What's wrong with that? I don't see a problem with a muslim leading this country. I don't like Obama because of his socialist policies, it has nothing to do with his beliefs or what religion he is. (he's christian, I know)
Anyone who preaches "redistribution" of wealth is a socialist. He has included that in his plan program for the campaign so until he says otherwise, I'll continue calling him a socialist.

Bush "redistributed" Clinton's tax spread, giving top margins a tax cut of 4.6 per cent. As those cuts run out in 09 they will default to their normal 39.6 per cent income tax. Obama is not going to support Bush's "redistribution" therefore he's a socialist? COME ON! If anyone is a Socialist in this election it's Sarah Palin and her $3,269 per person "collective" bonus from proceeds of oil leases. In fact Palin and her Jews for Jesus, Separatist pals can continue to suck off public funds while trying to leave the United States, but she's all "American" or whatever that means by her definition. By her use of the word, I don't live in the real America. If you're comfortable with a leader who thinks that Israel's woes are due to NOT ACCEPTING JESUS go vote McCain/Palin.
For many of the people here, this is a one-issue election: tax policy. They object to the wealthy paying more than what they believe is their fair share, especially to support social programs for the happily unemployed. Nothing else really matters (although to be fair CK has strong feelings about how foreign policy would affect kosovo). Let me know if I'm misstating anything.
Yep you hit it on the nail Dumpy. I have a problem when our taxes go to people that really don't deserve them, people that can actually work, but choose not to, and continue to live off the welfare checks. Also to let it be known, I'm not rich, probably on the lower end of middle class, we make enough to pay all the bills, so I'm sure that the redistribution would help us as well if we can get a piece of the millionaires but personally I don't want that, I need to work hard to earn it myself, I don't expect the govt to give me free money. (unless you're disabled, or retired, or just came from a third world country and speak absolutely no english)
Also, I was talking to Greg Mortensen, who I think knows a lot more about Muslims than anyone else here. He shared with me that what Osama Bin Laden is doing is not a jihad. In order for a Muslim to go on a jihad, they have to get permission from their mother first, otherwise they will just be doing shameful acts. Obviously Bin Laden's mother didn't give him her blessing.
