    I’m gonna go out on a limb and say a pregnant woman who goes to the Kwik E Mart instead of the hospital after getting shot in the stomach probably doesn’t give a shit about her baby.

    I agree. This is an interesting case. The pregnant woman Jones started a fight that escalated into her getting shot. It is both a question of self defense. Did the fight and Jones actions warrant her being shot? Was Jemison truly afraid for her life because she was getting her ass beat by a pregnant lady? ( prettt embarrassing by the way). Also, by shooting Jemison put two lifes in danger. Does self defense vindicate her from kiling the baby, even if it vindicates her from shooting Jones?

    Also, is Jones who was pregnant responsible for the babies death? Not only did she instigate and esculate the fight, which was regarding the babies daddy, (some cheating going on? Is the dad then responsible too?) But she failed to go to a hospital after being shot in the belly. She showed reckless disregard for her unborn child's life. Is the death of the child punishment enough? Would letting her go deny justice to that child as a victim, if not the true victim? I lean towards finding with the court.

    What if the woman was gestating a pig? Sure, you might not have ever heard of that being done before. But it's likely to be possible in the near future.

    So I say, no, a fetal heartbeat does not mean it's human.

    Im sure they would have determined it was a human baby and not a pig.
    I guess the question is if its a confirmed baby human, what would you do?
