You gotta be kidding me... Look at what you just said: "Dubs are like, let anybody else score but LA." That's not how it works. When you're the best on the team it's typically: "Let <best player> get his and stay home on everyone else" Not vice versa. You saw it. Green was HOT because of the double team.
@HCP is falling into the same trap most rookies do: Only caring about offense. T.T. is a Defensive LIABILITY. He can't even play defense for Pop.... AND he's got Pop calling him out in the media for being 4/11 lol. So he can't play Pop's offense OR defense... FUCKING. HILARIOUS.
He arguably was the best PF. It was between LA, Love, and Griffin(Duncan was out of his prime during that time) and many considered LA to be the front runner. He's just not glorified in SA like he was here. Portland handed him everything on a silver platter, he doesn't get that on SA.
That was so 3 years ago. Now he's fat, out of shape, and not living up to expectations. There's NO reason whatsoever why he shouldn't be averaging 23+/10 right now. He's playing for Pop....
It was arguable if all you were looking at was offensive stats. He was never close to being the best PF in the league
If I remember correctly most here weren't arguing it at all, consensus on these forums was that LA was the best PF in the league... I was among those touting him as such.
LmA needs to watch StevenA and get motivated although he is a pro playing for an excellent coach. You can see in his foot work, shot selection and passive attitude that he is no Team leader at this point of time.
LA is what he is. He's never been the best Blazer ever and he has major limitations to his game. I wasn't too sad when he left but I don't hate on him either, wish him the best
Maybe I'm just an angry, bitter person, but I take some amount of joy in seeing his basketball reputation completely destroyed and two fanbases now hating him. Spurm fans really thought they were getting those first 2 Houston postseason games guy. He's going to be completely forgotten as soon as he retires, and will be a complete footnote in Blazer history.
I remember his early days when he ran down and posted up against Duncan with some fire. I was like "yeah, this guy is going to be awesome" Then 20 foot turnaround jumpshots became his thing and the rest is history.
The Spurs are shit without Kawhi.... and frankly I don't think they're that good WITH him. They should try to trade Aldridge this summer and build around Kawhi. He's only 25. They need to try to find some guys to fit his window.
