Good luck and good riddance... looking forward to the next rebuild in a year or two. For those thinking that this roster of players will develop into a team like the Spurs, or develop into a team capable of making it past the 1st round, you're dreaming.

A little foreshadowing to DC, perhaps?

    I'm in!

We all know that LMA isn't the most efficient shooter; how will that translate in SA where he won't be getting as many shots as he had the chance to shoot here? Or do you expect Pop to demand that LMA plays closer to the basket for higher % shots? I see tons of PnR action between him and Timmy.

On the Spurs, I expect Lamarcus to look like he did in 4 allstar games...his numbers are going to plummet

Neil has shown that he's an intelligent guy, and not one to operate without foresight.
This has the hallmarks of Paul Allen telling him that he couldn't trade Aldridge.

With that in mind, I think Neil has done an exceptional job of operating, essentially with his hands tied.

The talk earlier about whether Olshey knew Aldridge was going and did nothing about it.

I don't think Neil planned to go forward with just a promise from Aldridge.
He probably wanted to act pro-actively - which is his job; but he was told NO by Allen.

Yeah, if Paul Allen tied Olshey's hands then all criticism is bull and undeserved.

It seems extremely plausible that either Paul nixed the idea of trading LMA altogether, believing like any good fan that LMA would not shit on us, or that Paul nixed each specific trade proposal that Neil brought him as an insufficient return for LMA.

I don't see any reason to criticize NO's role in all this - most likely he did his job very well with the cards he was dealt. The returns aren't all in yet though - now that the cards are on the table and there is no longer any reason to pretend/hope that LMA will return, it's time for Neil to make some more moves. My bet is that he's already got things in the pipeline ready to be announced when the time is ripe...
