For me, it would totally depend upon how Stotts coaches him.

If Stotts encourages or allows him to shoot 35% to 40% of his shots > 16-ft away from the basket as he did his last 2 years in Portland, then I don't want him.

If Stotts makes him play on the low post and limits the >16ft shots to under 20% (as Spurs did last year) - then sure, I'd take him back.

He wanted out until Pop started playing with kid gloves. He's a diva.

They built their entire offense around him and he didn't even average a double double. Consider me underwhelmed.

I'd take him back. But I doubt they'd take back what we will give them.

    Whoa there LaMarsha!
Get your spurs out of my butt!

First you promise to remain a Blazer, shutting down trades that would have landed the Blazers some talent.

Then you walk away from your promise, and the Blazers get nothing for you.

Now you want the Blazers to buy you back. Send talent out?

    Fuck you LaMarsha!

Spurs fans want CJ in the comments, imagine trading CJ to bring him back.

I'd rather swallow my pride and pursue Aldridge than go after the likes of Courtney Lee, et al. I'd also rather watch Aldridge be our legitimate post threat instead of watching Aminu dribble into traffic with his head down. If Dame/CJ have forgiven him, why should we hold a grudge?

Aldridge balled out last year, btw. Put up 23/10 on great efficiency.

What if Spurs added an unprotected first round pick?

The trade might be the most difficult part. The Spurs if anything, are not fools. Getting LMA will cost value. I'm not sure how much I would give up. CJ would require more back in my mind (like the pick). Not too keen on sending away Collins at this point either. Nurkic is cannot be traded in this, correct? You'd be left with some of our young guards and Biebs or Turner. Spurs would be in rebuild mode, so likely would not want Turner or Aminu. Harkless might get some interest.

LMA was the biggest head ache for the blazers organization in years. It was a relief when he left. LMA wanted back because Pop wasn't treating him like a baby like stotts did.

SAS would only trade him for a decent asset. It's just throwing away more money at a malcontent.

It would at least be worth the conversation. If they know they have to trade Kawhi, and that pretty much destroys their playoff chances, then why not try dump LMA's contract for what you can get.

As you mention, they would want a decent asset and it's likely that someone else would offer more than we would want to.

I'm quite certain that if the Spurs were looking at dealing Aldridge, they'd be able to get much better assets elsewhere than anything we'd offer.

Attend a meet and greet sometime (when you’re back in the area). Occasionally some good tid bits are to be had......
