Nothing like this. His rebounding has been incredible lately 14.8 rpg last week and 12.8 rpg the week before - combined with 25.5 ppg and 26.3 ppg comes out to 25.9 ppg and 13.8 rpg over the last two weeks on .542 FG%. Until last year, he'd never averaged 9 rpg for a season and most posters on this board thought he'd never average 10 rpg. Well, he's at 10.9 rpg and climbing. BNM
The difference is we've never seen LMA so clutch. The last couple seasons, he's been 80+% FT, but over and over when he was at the line late in close games . . . CLANK! Not this year. There were other games when he seemed to disappear late after a strong start. No longer an issue. It's like the last hurdle he had to climb on his way to superstardom, being a "clutch" go to guy. Now he calls for the ball and isn't afraid to take big shots or step to the foul line when the game is on the line. The transformation of his play down the stretch of games can't be overlooked. Hence, 3 time POW in 4 weeks.
That's why I mentioned confidence. I sort of get the impression that he expects to play this way, instead of just flirting with greatness like he would in the past.
