Stephen Jackson isn't that bad. People don't ever seem to realize that he is supposed to be a compliment to other people and not the main guy but due to the Detroit incident and countless injuries he has always had to step up to play a bigger role than he is really capable of. Then he tries to do it and stays healthy which Tinsley and JO don't do and he gets bashed when he doesn't lead the team anywhere. He has been playing well this year. His defense has been quite solid and with Harrington back and everyone healthy (for now) it takes some of the pressure off of him and he can get more open looks from outside and more mismatches for him to be cutting and posting up.Sure he does dumb things (Club Rio, Detroit incident) but I don't think that should come into play when people analyze how good of a player he is, although I'm positive it does for a lot of people.

The Pistons deserved there 4 spots for their dream half of the year.</div>I think he is so underrated that he actually is overrated. Same thing with Josh Howard. Now both of them are being overrated in my opinion. You can only be underrated to a certain extent until it becomes overrated. Is Rip a good player? Yes, but I think some people overrate him now since he was underrated for such a long time. I know its wierd, but its the truth.

He chucks up shots whenever he feels like it, most of the time he misses. He has no post game, but he continues to post people up. For a guy who's 6'8" he rebounds horribly. He's a guard yet many times teamates get open and when he relizes it, the defense has too. He also has plays where he ries to get flashy, and ends up throwing the ball away.Dude just has no clue how to play effectively. They could put a random person out there to shoot 7 3s and only make 1, but instead they put a 6'8" shootaholic out there. I mean, really, is he helping at all?I will give him credit on defense though. When he's not on the other side of the court arguing with refs while his man scores, he does a good job on defense.
