Follow the Olshey plan..pick him up in a couple of years I'm just pullin' your chain....I just fall into the group that hates tanking in sports
"Win 10 for Ben" Actually, Portland won't need to tank to get a high lottery pick. They are likely just going to be too young to finish close games and don't have enough outside shooting to stay in games throughout an 82 game schedule. If they can pressure, get in the open court and force turnovers, they could be 'pesky' but those are not the trademarks of Stott's let teams.
All we have to do is have one of the four worst records and the NBA will probably reward us like they did Cleveland when Lebron left.
I'm just not so sure about him yet, need to see him against elite schools like Florida and Kentucky (which will happen multiple times thankfully). Right now, I think he is more Rashard Lewis than T-Mac.
We don't need to tank because playing/developing our young guys will naturally put us in a position to get the #1 pick.
Rashard Lewis never had handles like that. Nor could he pass nearly as well or lead the fast break. He's also a much better defender than Shard. Dimensions are maybe the only thing they have in common.
So, you don't trust Olshey with a high draft pick - but you trust him to pull a miracle trade or FA signing? Sorry, but I really find that bass-ackward.
I've thought about this, and I'd be kind of happy with #2. Currently Skal Labissiere is ranked #1, so let somebody else take him. Or, if they take Simmons, fine - we'll take an Anthony Davis-type player, sure. Sometimes I think people would care a lot less if we'd taken Oden #2 behind Durant. Of course, #2 was where we took Sam Bowie...
Probably to early to hone in on anyone specifically, just give me a top 5 pick and this year is a success!
Who said that? Your shtick makes no sense because you make passive aggressive comments aimed at people that don't exist.
We'll see, I just am trying to not put too much thought into high school/international play. I bet Rashard looked dope as fuck in high school back in the 90s too. Just tempering expectations. The kid I actually like is Dwayne Bacon.
