Since they aren't going to make the playoffs anyhow, a good chance is better than a little chance. Besides, this team won't need to 'tank' to lose quite a few games. They are so young and have NO inside game whatsoever. Defensively they aren't very good as well and the amount of turnover they make right now (some due to so many new players) doesn't help at all.

I'll certainly be watching certain college basketball teams more than normal.

Every player growing up seems to be a huge Kobe fan, some of the smart ones grow out of it.

I watched the LSU game last night.... Ben Simmons is scary good. Like a smoother version of Lebron meets Durant. I can't predict he will be Lebron good but dang his is soooo good! Granted he has only played 3 games but in those 3 he is averaging 18.7ppg, 14.3rpg, 4.7apg, 2.0stl and 1.3bks.

Do yourself a favor watch an LSU game this year.

Did you see him shoot any mid-range jumpers or 3's? Apparently that is his big weakness. He is dominating in College and I think he will be dang good in the NBA but they are also going to be smarter and play way off him so he can't drive and dare him to take the jumper. With that said, I would take him in a heartbeat.

Kobe has said many times in interviews that growing up he was a Boston Celtic fan and hated the Lakers.

Yeah, me too. This would be one season where I wouldn't mind losing every game against them. Well, it'd still suck - but if the end result is us getting Simmons, OR LAL having to give up their pick, it'd be worth it.

Why did he go to LSU by the way? Hardly a basketball school, odd choice

Dude is guaranteed to stand out. If you go to a place like Duke, Kentucky, etc, you're going to be playing with a lot of other really talented guys. Homeboy is going to be the total focal point of that offense.

I have no doubt that if the league can pull it off without it looking too obvious, they will make it happen. Especially with Kobe likely retiring......welcome to your NBA.....

And? Where they bricked or airballed?

I am sure he will improve with time. Heard he is really bad right now from that distance though.

If the Lakers offered me a 10 year deal, worth 1,000,000 dollars, I would totally become a Lakers fan.

of course, I'd try to sabotage things, but still..money talks and "loyalty" walks.
