On depth at SF: it's a need, but I think mgmt feels we are ok there.

Here's my thought: Monty is going to run a highly organized and technically sound set offense, and the plan is to give the SF position (and, they hope, the team) to MDJr. The idea is to build his confidence by having no real threat to his position; just let him play, handle the ball a lot, and see how good he can be. Backup minutes will go to Pietrus (this is where Fisher runs the team), and CRob if needed.

I still think the Ws can find a deal for Damp that brings us something of use. We are still the only way to guarantee that he goes to a winner and gets his money; the Hawks can give him money, and they can try to get a future trade in place for him, but there is no guarantee on that ever going through.

There are still a handful of teams that just need a C to get into the championship hunt, and the salary demands for Damp seem to getting a bit more reasonable. Teams are playing hardball, and we'll have to see who blinks first. I think Damp, happy and on a winning team, would continue to play hard like last year. Some team is going to see this.

As has been previously said, I think that we have a pretty strong 9-man rotation already. Although there could be many upgrades, there's not much available in the form of fair or reasonable trades. The only thing that I'd like to see would be another shooter or defensive player. Jon Barry would be a nice fit if he wanted to come here, though my feeling is that he'll probably head to a more established team to play backup.
