I think this has been one of the keys to how well we've been playing so far. That chip on his shoulder that Dame plays with, everyone else seems to be playing the same way too. It's a second (or more) chance for these guys whose previous organizations doubted them; and they seem driven to prove them wrong. I don't know if it's something already inside each of them, or if Dame's leadership has instilled it in them, or a bit of both; but I like it.
Man, overall he is so well spoken while still seeming to be straight from the heart without trying to "Say the right thing". We are blessed to have such a powerful leader at such a young age already. Behold, our leader for the next decade.
Damn I love that kid! I love how he gives my son a GREAT role model to look at. I'll admit, I use Damian for teaching moments all the time.
LaMarcus just wouldn't have fit in with that going forward. He didn't want to step up and be the leader but didn't really want anyone else to be that either.
There's a part of me that says this has to be an act... Then he keeps proving me wrong, over and over. Thank you New Jersey. Thank you Gerald Wallace for having just enough value.
Yup. Aldridge wanted his cake and to eat it, too. And man, did he eat it in San Antonio! His nickname should be Dough Boy.
"Lamarcus is going to come in this season and feast on the competition" ".... looks like he got a head start."
This. His genuineness is refreshing. Love how he corrected her and said "my commitment was to the organization".
