I grew up indulging in my grandfathers WW2 stories, he faught the Nazis during the battle of the bulge. The man literally helped liberate a minor concentration camp, and he only told me about it once, and in private. This was right after 9/11 when Republicans (of course it would be Republicans) were downplaying the holocaust. He took me aside as a late teen, sat me down, and looked me straight in the eyes and told me the following. He said “don’t you ever let anyone tell you that didn’t happen. It did, I was there. And it was worse than you could have ever have imagined. These men were evil, don’t you ever forget it, and don’t you ever believe it.” He went on to tell me in some detail about it. It made quite the impression on me as I heard all of his other stories hundreds of other times, but this story I only heard once, and with literal tears in his eyes. It was unreal and has lingered in my thoughts ever since. So yes, fuck Nazis, and fuck any supporters of that form of ideology, period.

I was lucky enough to meet him, his wife, and his daughter a few years back. Very nice people. I would drink a beer with them anytime. Well not the daughter but remember, both of you are here because you're Blazer fans. So at least you know you have one thing in common.

I thought he did well. He answered questions clearly. When Stephanopoulos kept talking age, Biden talked accomplishments.
He didn't have any big stumbles or forgetful moments like the debate which is good. He definitely dodged questions about his age. I don't know that it changed things favorably for him, but it certainly didn't make things worse.
