It's going to come down to voter turnout and people voting against Trump for Biden to win. It's going to be very close like 2020... likely closer. The right is going to do everything it can do to stop people from voting.

A different candidate may fare better if Biden steps down, which it doesn't look like he will. A younger more popular candidate may get voters excited and allow for more separation come election day.

It would likely be Kamala since she is the VP and she would pick a running mate.

This doesn't take into account, however, the swath of voters who will not vote for the new candidate because, ironically, much like dumbass Trump, they will blame the media.

Somehow, someway, 4 months before the election, the media has started to turn democrats AND Republicans into knots.

    This shit is exhausting.

From Flaw's song "one more time" this kinda resonates with the last two weeks:

"There must be something you can recommend.
I've lost my faith in man again"

Followed up by Incubus lyrics from "11 am"

"Then again, you're always first when no one's on your side.
    Then again,
The day has come. And I want off that ride."

Also, to be clear. Neither of these songs are about politics. One is about deep depression and scary thoughts, while the second one is actually about heartbreak but ultimately realizing that they aren't good for you.

The beauty of lyrics and music. UP for interpretation and can be used ubiquitiously if the situation calls for it.

Chris Hayes commented the most popular person on the team is the back up quarterback. As soon as something goes wrong everyone demands team play backup quarterback.
Kamala Harris has higher ratings than Biden but she has not yet faced full onslaught of Republican and media assault.
Hillary Clinton had an approval rating over 70% when she left office as secretary of state. By the time "her emails", Republicans, media, Comey were done a majority thought Trump was the more honest and trustworthy candidate.
Honestly think Biden could have done a great job handing over to Harris. I could write the damn speech. He feels confident he can complete the job but might be losing the confidence of the American people. So he will spend a month transitioning and then retire. Everyone deserves retirement which is why he fights so hard for social security. Turn to Harris and say time to shatter the glass ceiling, Madam President.

But having vowed to stay in, he needs to stick with it. A president doesn't act alone, there is Cabinet and sides.
So we still have binary choice. Two old men. One defends democracy. One plans to end it.

It could be Harris but that is not a given. Democrats would be left with an open convention where they would suggest potential nominees and continue voting until one receives the majority of delegate votes. It could become a free for all depending on who throws their hat in the ring. Could Harris beat Trump? I don't know but I'm not sure who is out there that most likely could beat him? That is the question.

One function, major function, of vice president is to take over presidency if needed. If Biden decides after all not to run, Harris is clear successor. If convention decides she is next in line but we want someone white and or male, good luck getting Black voters and women voters.

I'm talking about if he decides not to be the presidential candidate not resigning from office... two different things as I'm sure you know.

Michelle Obama. Early hypothetical polls show her beating Trump convincingly.

Meanwhile, Biden's still getting stuff done. No one's talking about it, but he's getting stuff done.

I'm sure someone will analyze how Biden's signature on this disqualifies him from office because the e isn't written smoothly.

I guess former CNN host Brian Stelter has taken a shot at Biden for the timing of signing this because of what people are saying about Biden. Meanwhile, almost nothing in comparison with the SCOTUS rulings or Project 2025 or the Epstein-Trump stuff.

    No perspective.

Who owns and runs CNN? The elite. The same people who hated Bernie and helped Hillary beat him now think that Project 25 looks pretty good.

Think of all the ways they can exploit the little people!

Well, with the SCOTUS ruling last week making it legal that public officials can be given "gifts" after the fact for legislation or rulings and it no longer is a bribe (even though the law is clear about now being able to accept gifts), I'm wondering who is giving money to the Democratic Congresspeople that are coming out against Biden. It's easier to figure out who it is with the CNN hosts -- their company was bought by someone with conservative interests a year or so ago.

There is a Doctor that suspects Biden "might" have Parkinson's disease. Two symptoms of Parkinson's are shuffling of feet when walking. And nuerocognitive decline. Both obvious symptoms displayed often by Biden.

He also said, overmedication, or some form of dementia are also possible.

Just found the timing of Biden signing this Parkinson's act odd.

I'm familiar with Parkinson's. My mother was misdiagnosed with it, medically treated for it when she didn't have it, which caused her all kinds of problems and contributed to her dying a few years before her time.

If Parkinson's wasn't a well-known disease before this, I might give the theory that Biden is doing something about this now more credence. However, it seems, if anything, the timing actually works against him with the tin-foil hat crowd. He actually has more symptoms of old age than he does of Parkinson's.

Some people, though, are going to do anything they can to try to make this election a referendum on Biden while the guy who failed in office before him and then tried to overthrow the government gets treated like he's a normal dude. I'm sure next they'll find video that Biden sat the wrong way.

    Lol.

If Biden has neurocognitive decline then Trump is just off his fucking rocker.

But we all knew that. At least those that have abstained from the Kool aid.

The quack is in the white house. Billions of people around the world are watching. Everyone is very concerned, and only want the best. Except Bidens cult followers.
