I think Wade is close to seeing a rather drastic decrease in his production. Again, just speculation on my part.

Ryan Anderson of the Magic. Went to Cal and came out after his soph year. Drafted by the Nets (21st overall) in '08. Traded to Orlando in '09. Was so-so in NJ, but has steadily come on with the Magic. He's a PER machine. With Orlando, he's put up PERs of 18.1, 19.0 and 25.0 so far this season. At 6-10 240 he's taking over nine 3-pointers per game this season and hitting 42% of them. This is the first year he's been a starter. He's averaging 20.5ppg, 8.5rpg in just under 31 minutes/game and has a "True Shooting %" of .610, which is ridiculous. Kid's got game, but it's not surprising that Bulls' fans who don't catch a lot of non-Bulls' games would ask "Who?" For whatever reason, he's been meh or worse against our guys so far in his career.
Bargnani is on the all-star ballot at forward. Voting as of yesterday, I think. Our new SG is getting plenty of all-star votes. Looking over that list, Boozer's definitely in the mix, but it's really hard to make the case for him over the other guys. The fact that he averages less than 30mpg and sits in the fourth quarter might be his nail in the coffin (and for good reason). However, if our injury problems persist and his statistical surge continues, he has a shot. All-star selections are usually popularity contests for the starting-five and giveaways to the teams with the best records for the subs. I think you can take the starting 5 of Rose, Wade, Lebron, Melo, and Dwight as a given. So for those final 7 slots, how do you divy things up among the top 6 teams? Discount everyone else due to team record. Luckily for us Joe Johnson is listed as a SG. By my counts, the list of potential candidates looks like: Boozer, West, Brand, Smith, Bosh, Deng, Iguodala(??? F or G???), and maybe Garnett for legacy's sake. I really do think the stars are aligned for Deng this year. Our record all but guarantees us at least two selections, and I think it's clear to anyone who watches the team that Thibs has deemed Deng the second most important cog in our team due to his defensive prowess. I think he's in. Boozer really doesn't appear much above or below the other guys, so it's a matter of whether you value team record more than his shortcomings within our system. Aside from Bosh almost everyone else on that list is a system player as well. If Noah could get his act together he'd have a great shot at C due to lack of competition, but that's murky at this point.

As for me, I'm very happy with Boozer these days and this surprises me in a very pleasant way. He's playing good team basketball, even on the defensive end...he's recovering his beaten teammates inside better than I've ever seen him. Keep it up, Carlos!
It seems as if Carlos may have found his happy spot on the Bulls. With Rip the starting unit is better suited to utilize his strengths, after a year and a half we have a much better idea of what he can and can't do, and his defense has been decent to boot. If the team rolls on in its current dynamic, the Booz Cruise in Chicago might end up being a happy story for everyone involved.
Who in Bulls history has been a better PF? Horace Grant was an all-star once, and has a career PER of 16. His best season was 15/11. Boozer is a 2-time all-star. His career PER is 20.6. He's averaged 17.2/10.0 for his career. Elton Brand played with us for two seasons. He's a 2-time all-star as well (not with the Bulls). Career PER of 21.4, 18.7/9.5. Dennis Rodman was a 2-time all-star. Career PER of 17.2. 7.3/13.1 career averages. Mickey Johnson was never an all-star. Career PER of 16.9. Career averages of 14.1/7.2 Larry Kenon had a cup of coffee with the Bulls (about 2 seasons). 5 time all-star (2 times in the NBA). Career PER of 17.0. Career averages of 17.2/8.9. He was also a 10 on a scale of 1-10 as a defender. Charles Oakley? Career PER of 11, never had a PER of 15 even. I never liked him. And as much as I loved watching Butterbean Love play, he was more of a SF forced to play PF (alongside Chet the Jet). Career averages of 17.6/5.9 and a career PER of 14.9 (his best was 17.0). And then there's the ultimate Bulls power forward (so we were told when we got him). Tyrus Thomas career PER of 15.6, averages of 8.3/5.2. And there's they guy we actually drafted and traded for the boneheaded Thomas - he has a career 17.5/7.5 averages and a 19.3 PER (23.2 last season).
Guess I don't much care what guys did elsewhere. Boozer had an off year last season offensively and was abysmal on defense. As I said earlier, this season has revealed a new and improved version. If he can maintain his play at this level over the rest of his contract, I think he'll be "Best Bulls PF Ever" hands down.
With all due respect to the mighty PER (a great statistic), Carlos Boozer is not the PF Dennis Rodman was. Rodman was a transcendent player on defense, and arguably carried the team in the first half of our last championship year. Can't see Carlos having that sort of impact.
How could roman carry a team? Not with his scoring With all the injuries we've had - Rose, Deng, Taj, CJ, Boozer's been out there beast in' and we're winning. Oddly, I'm not a Boozer fanboi... I just think for all the $$$ and cap space creation drama, he better be good.
