Yeah, I can't really come up with a comparison. We have had some who were better at in other areas, (i.e Batum) but Miller will be a much better shooter (no pun intended) Grant has a nice 3 pt set shot now, but I think Miller will be better as well.

In the podcast Illmatic posted they comped him to PG, Tatum and Cade Cunningham.

They also talked about how special it is for someone to be 6’9 and be able to pass, dribble, shoot.

I don’t exactly agree with a lot of their analysis, but it was a decent listen after the first 15-20 minutes spent talking about the case.

I know. I think rebounding should be added to that list.

Yes, currently their assist numbers are similar. Brandon Miller college vs Jerami Grant NBA.

Yeah, the Lakers passed on Tatum and took Ball, best pg prospect in a long time. Miller is your prototypical NBA wing in todays game.

Miller has the traits of some of the best wing players in the NBA. If you squint hard enough, he has a game reminiscent of Paul George or Jayson Tatum as a long, sweet-shooting forward with some wiggle as a ball handler and the ability to create jumpers for himself.

    Sure, but
Sure, but he's not the player Miller could be, and his shooting wasn't that great out of Syracuse. Plus Grant is 1" shorter....lol But you're correct he's closer than Harmless or Aminu.

Miller looks awesome. Scoot does as well. Clear as heck to me the Blazers need to draft whoever is there of the two.

Only exception is if they don't get needed details privately of murder incident, but in that case he probably should drop way further than 4th.

If Millers workout & visit goes well, he's the guy. The Blazers need a LaMarcus-esqe talent at PF. The frontcourt is then , as tall and talented as it's ever been in the Dame era. Then the Blazers add DeMar DeRozan & get pick reconciliation with Chicago by sending Ant and the #23 to Chicago. With a future 1st they move back into the 1st round to draft Lively ( Jarrett Allen part deux?). Nurk, Miller, Grant, DeRozan, Dame. Bench Sharpe (6th Man) , time to put on the "Big Boy Pants". Watford, Thybulle, Mays, Lively / Eubanks. Add a free agent dead eye shooter and the Blazers are there in the West.

agree, either Scoot or Miller would be excellent, Miller obviously the better fit with our glaring need at PF/SF and he becomes a starter IMO right away.

I'm thinking at least 6'9", young or older, and vets that have at least 4 years experience for cheap.

His release point on his shot is so low. Compare his shot to someone like Tatum or George. Those guys elevate even a bit after a simple move, and they get wide open looks from 10-20 feet out because their release points are so high in comparison.

Wouldn't matter to me if he had the burst and handle to get to the rim and finish, but he is really poor at that in the half court. Shooting is his biggest selling point but I feel like he's gonna get swatted or at least heavily contested on all his jumpers in midrange.

So that leaves his 3pt shooting as his biggest selling point. Using a top 3 pick on someone who might become a spot up 3pt shooter doesn't seem appropriate to me.

Been watching a bunch of video on this kid the past few days, someone tell me what I'm missing.

Passing, defense, and rebounding. If his shots aren't falling, he'll be able to contribute in other ways.

He had a negative A:TO ratio in college.

Defense is solid but he doesn't appear fast enough to lockdown guards or athletic/strong enough to protectthe rim.

These guys talk a bit about what went down the night that Miller delivered the gun. Not sure if this is new stuff.
