Yes, that was reported months ago. He was parked at the time and he and a team manager were apparently in his vehicle.

 

How the hell have these guys been commenting on the situation and didn't know his car was hit by bullets?

So in summary.

1) He brought a gun to the confrontation.
2) Fled while getting shot at.
3) Didn't voluntarily report the incident to the police.
4) Cooperated with investigation afterwards.
5) Played in a game two days laterand had 30 pts.

 

seems like it's getting to be the consensus that Charlotte will take Scoot, leaving the Blazers the tough decision of Miller vs Amen

I know there is the option of trading the pick but I think the added coasts of any trade will be well above Portland's pain threshold

so it may be a honk-once/honk-twice situation again

Yeah.... really not feeling great right now about the the options at 3.

 

He did have a poor A:TO ratio but he shows flashes of advanced playmaking and passing ability and he can clearly identify open guys. The hope is that with better spacing, slightly better decision-making (he tried to force some passes into really tight spaces), and an improved handle that will make him a legitimate PnR ball handler.

 

I had it wrong. It was 30 against Vanderbilt. Which is all fine.

I know you have a few reservations about Scoot & Amen; having some about Miller too?

at this point, from my uninformed position, I'd think the best for Portland would be Charlotte taking Miller

No, I just Googled the incident and have been reading everything I could find.

Clearly, his teammate Miles and the shooter Davis instigated everything by trying to hit on the woman. My GUESS is her boyfriend at some point probably got frustrated and flashed his gun so they would leave them alone. (They were waiting on their food so they didn't leave)

That is probably what prompted Miles to text Miller to bring his gun which was in Millers' car. Davis and Miles need to be locked up for sure, but I doubt very much that Miller knew the extent of what was going on when he went to pick them up.

 

I really don't think it's a tough decision

I'm higher than *most* on Amen and you take Miller all day and twice on Sunday.

The real decision starts after that, I think there is a real chance Whitmore is rated higher than Amen

 

The caveat obviously is if you do your due diligence and are REALLY uncomfortable with taking Miller; then obviously you trade down for Amen/Whitmore/maybe even Ausar and add another asset.

 

I can't see getting anything of value by trading down a spot. Not when Scoot is already off the board.

 

I haven't found any definitive clarity on this. This is certainly the defense from his side. But on the way to pick up Miles, Miles texted Miller to bring the gun.

So in fact before Miller arrived at the location, he knew Miles wanted the gun that was in Miller's car.

 

Better than the options at 4-9...
