Bizarre thought. The Blazers are actually lucky to get the 3rd pick instead of the 2nd pick, where they could make the wrong decision.

Agree fully. That is the great thing about moving up to 3. Whether we are using the pick, or trading it, the move up to 3rd pick opens up so many previously unavailable opportunities. This is where Joe and his team will truly either shine of shit the bed. But, they are going to have a lot of available options. If Charlotte chooses Miller, we could even have a bidding war on Scoot.

 

Doesn't sound like he is doing well on his interviews. Going to be interesting to watch how this plays out,.

lazy article. Givony on the podcast also said there was a near consensus among execs in Chicago that Miller is going 2 to Charlotte. He also has BM going 2 on his mock.

 

Who are the teams? If they draft behind us I would be a little suspicious.

 

my only concern is Miller disappeared during the tourney. Usually that’s when the greats show up

 

I alluded to this same sentiment in an earlier post. michael jordan dictates our pick.

but, having the 2nd instead of 3rd would've made cronin's life easier too, esp if the plan is to trade the pick.
our trade options would be greater because we can deal with teams who like scoot and teams who like miller and teams who like any other player.

but since we got 3rd, our options are not as broad because the 2-3 picks are in limbo

 

That just means he is not ready right now...which very few 1-and-done players are in their first year.

 

that is not the only concern with miller, him being older means ceiling isn't as high

on the other hand, with scoot, poor shooting, not tall, and high risk (injury) style of play are the apparent concerns

no prospect is perfect but the fact that there are two 2nd-pick-worthy players should be great for us, wheter we use or trade the pick

 

I don’t understand it. Everything I see and read talks about the fit with LaMelo Ball.
They also have Terry Rozier. Maybe he matters somewhat too.
We’ll find out on draft day.

Brandon Miller could end up being Trey Murphy the 4th. A good player , but not worth the 2nd or 3rd pick.
Not saying he will, but that is probably his floor. I think he has more bust potential than Scoot.

Didn’t know that, definitely changes how I feel. Like seeing guys tough it out when injured, shows toughness

Miller had a groin injury but still tried to play through. He shot horribly, but I give him credit for trying to gut it out.

 

Was he doing Miller Time at the end of regulation? Haha
