I don't understand why ONE non-contending team (the Wizards) were willing to offload a young Deni, while another non-contending team (the Griz are rebuilding, right? otherwise why trade Bane?) want to "back the truck up" for a slightly-older Deni. We should ask for more for Deni than they got for Bane and see what happens. If we DO trade Deni, then I definitely want us to draft CMB.
Acquiring Jrue doesnt make any sense with us then trading Deni. We need one direction instead of the fence straddling Cronin has done for numerous previous transaction cycles. This Blazers team just seems like they are desperate to push for the playoffs. Deni provides nearly superstar value since he is on such a cheap contract. Seems far more likely we package #11 for a veteran upgrade. Maybe even send out a future pick as well.
