I don't know if he can afford to be traded. Since he made the All NBA team he is eligible for a supermax extension but only a team that he's been with for at least two seasons can give him that and if they do give him that extension he can't be traded for a calendar year. I think that's why the Jaylen Brown rumors have died because for now I think the only thing that makes financial sense is for him to stick with Boston.
If Boston has decided to offer him the full 290 million yes I agree from Jaylens end it makes sense for him to stay put. Perhaps that's what's happened and the deal is dead. Or perhaps the Celtics only want one of Scoot or Miller. Or perhaps they haven't decided if either is better to keep than Brown and are just doing their due diligence. It's the time to gather all final info for them on prospects same as Portland, with the teams planning to make a final decision the final days of the draft.
Ant + 3 is overpay for Brown. We need to stretch our assets and the new CBA is punitive. I'd rather keep 3 and trade Ant and change for OG. Would be great to get Bruce Brown in FA.
No, it isn't at all. Brown is a killler offensive player, and one of the best defenders in the league.
Revisionist history. Everyone was making fun of him after last year saying he didn't have a left hand. It's different when everyone on the floor is a threat.
