Spiteful Developer Tore Down Frank Lloyd Wright Building Overnight, Eclipsing Negotiations to Save It https://www.architecturaldigest.com...-slated-for-demolition-17-million-by-tomorrow
The density/development of this area is mind boggling. The lot directly in front of the Koin is poised to be under construction with another project, too. The lot development here is a huge street-level addition. It's going to change the entire feel -- towers build in the 80s scoffed at street-level development, that's precisely why the Koin feels like a bunker: The density of the Pearl has been booming as well, with more mid/high-rises in the pipeline: Speaking of density The part of downtown by the ZGF tower is the next boom area - down into the West End: The new project that's kitty corner from the ZGF/Indigo West:
These aerial shots oO This part of SoWa is impressive: The density/development of the Pearl is on fire:
@Fez Von Savage - What's the deal, do you know? Is it just money? I don't get how the city planners can allow this massive change to the city. The density. It will be Seattle Jr. very soon, and that is not a compliment.
The simple answer: the city is growing fast. Instead of sprawling outward, the city is developing upward with high-density buildings. I'm 100% behind this method. Sprawl like in L.A. and Phoenix is unbearable. On that note, Portland could have its first 5-star mixed-use hotel -- the foodcart block proposal:
I agree 100%. Plus it makes downtown an event. Many more people congregating, more shops and entertainment will come because of the congestion. Id much rather just have to fight hard traffic/people downtown, then everywhere around downtown. We already do that as it is.... Oh yeah and Fuck Portland.
The recently completed Towne Storage building renovation: Now this is how you restomod a building. Excellent design and execution.
Is asking for info obstruction now? If there are these documents that have damning evidence against Trump they should give them to congress. Do they need to be made public? Nope Give these guys what they ask for and if they all shut up then you'll know.
Don't worry. I'm gonna start a new thread right now about what I'm doing. I'll leave your OJ trial stuff alone.
