I hadn't seen this pass before because it didn't show up in highlights. It didn't result in an assist, but it's a high-degree-of-difficulty pass to an open teammate for a wide-open 3-pointer.
Am told he now has bionic arms that are finished but the russian software that runs them is still in alpha (альфа) testing and that's why he was spotted wearing a red longsleeve shirt under his Blazers uni at rookie orientation media day.
This is what I like to see. Emphasize playmaking, moving the ball, and playing scrappy defense early. The scoring and shooting will come with time.

Oh my lord this dude’s athleticism is on another level. I thought I was already impressed with Shae’s athleticism. I’m ready for this backcourt to wow me on a play at least once a night.
He might have to! Scoot's a mature 19-year-old and I doubt he cares what Dame thinks. Just wants to win games.
Scoot's been preparing his whole life! I bet he can't wait either. This is summer league after he blew past Amen Thompson (who fouled him on the shoulder, not called) and scored at the hoop. Most of the defense around him. Now I can also see Tari Eason's hand on Scoot's hand. Hadn't seen that before. So he's being fouled maybe twice (if Eason got more than the hand) simultaenously and still scored. Scoot is going to be hella hard to stop in The League. Especially against regular-season defenses.
The stupid thing is, if Dame does stay then Scoot is probably the best rookie in recent memory not to start on a shitty team.
If Scoot doesn't start from Day 1, Billups will show another level of incompetence. If he learned anything from last season (questionable) it's that Dame and Simons don't work together, not compared to Sharpe and Dame. Scoot and Dame should be even better.
