That was usually the last stop for us. Once the bars closed and we weren't ready to call it a night, we'd stop there, especially in our pre-21 days. It was one of the few places that often still had a big crowd after 2am. Later, we made Rigoberto's on McLouglin our end-of-night capper. Dirty mex, 24 hours per day? Sign me up.
We always hit up Shari's either on Murray or the one near Sunset High School or the 24 hours Taco Bell across from Beaverton Mall.
The Growlerie, opening Friday, Nov. 8, at Progress Ridge TownSquare in Beaverton, will feature 40 taps ready to fill 32- and 64-ounce take-home jugs, or growlers, with beer, wine, hard cider and kombucha. It'll also offer root beer from Crater Lake Soda
PORTLAND, Ore. — The Portland Timbers today unveiled the new, state-of-the-art adidas Timbers Training Center in Beaverton, Ore., as the team conducted its first training session at the new site. Constructed as part of a 10-year partnership with Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD), the $6 million adidas Timbers Training Center will be the primary on-field training ground for the Major League Soccer club, complementing the first-class training and fitness facilities already in place at JELD-WEN Field. The training center, located on THPRD property in Beaverton approximately 10 minutes from JELD-WEN Field, includes a new natural-grass field to be used exclusively by the Timbers and a synthetic, FieldTurf field designated for public use.
New Westside Trail segments now open; continuous path stretches six miles 11/15/2013 The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District has completed a long-awaited Westside Regional Trail expansion project, adding 1.5 miles of hard-surface trail that is now open to the public. The year-long expansion, funded by THPRD’s 2008 voter-approved bond measure, means users now have six mostly continuous miles of regional trail in the southern half of the Park District. The path extends north from Tigard city limits at Barrows Road all the way to the Tualatin Hills Nature Park and the MAX light-rail station at Merlo Road in Beaverton. “It opens up a lot of recreational opportunities,” said THPRD project manager Gery Keck. “It connects Progress Lake and the Tualatin Hills Nature Park – two of our jewels – and provides a nice continuous stretch of trail for people who want to exercise, walk the dog, or enjoy a non-motorized commute.”
Pietro's Pizza coming back to Beaverton! woot. I think in January on Hall Blvd somewhere. anyway, what's the best Teriyaki rice bowl nowadays? Used to live on that shit in high school. not the hawaiian style ones but the ones like Best Teriyaki or like the RICE BOWL that used to be in Valley Plaza.
An's Bento was the best bento in the area bak in the day. Was in Wilsonville, then it move to Interstate, just up from the RG. They sold it and it's now some other Asian joint that is supposedly pretty good.
http://www.movoto.com/or/safest-places-in-oregon/ According to one method for calculating the safest places in Oregon, West Linn ranks numero uno.
Love west Linn and have lived there. Cops are total dicks because they have nothing better to do. How do they not have happy valley on the list? Milwaukie is not safer than happy valley
Klamath Falls and Medford: pretty much like a big city (Portland), without any of the benefits of actually living in a big city.
Yeah, I was wondering how Happy Valley didn't make the list. BUT....... there are some areas that are considered Happy Valley that aren't so nice (like some of the boundaries with other cities that are actually considered Happy Valley), and I'm sure those areas skew the calculations. That's the only thing I can think of. West Linn/Wilsonville...... so much in property taxes..... so many cops.... so little else to do besides nab people for not signaling quickly enough.
Nicolas Batum @nicolas88batum Feb 22 Once again , thanks to Rocket Frizz for those worldwild candy. Best candy place in Beaverton
