well, then YOUUUUUU made the right call ;)

I wanted Moses more than Baylor, but Baylor was my next choice if Moses had been gone

I'm not sure why I never thought of Moses. Even when I was thinking of PF/Cs to pair with Wilt, Moses never popped into my mind. Nice pick with Moses though.

Any thoughts on Gary Payton? I have this unfortunate feeling that he might be the only "Celtic" I end up with, and I have two Lakers and Payton is as much a Laker as he ever would be a Celtic.

There's so many players that we unintentionally forget cause of all the history...like I seriously forgot a ton of big men when I made my Willis Reed pick...trust me, I regret it now.

I picked Scottie cause it wouldn't be right if MJ couldn't be with Scottie.

I like Gary, if we think of the defensive stud he was in Seattle :)

I think of Payton as a Sonic and a top 10 PG no doubt.
there were great defensive guards, but I think he was the best with his 6-4 size speed and aggressiveness.
Solid outside shot, not amazing, great at getting into the paint and was equally adept at finishing or dishing the ball once there.

He'd have problems with Magic and Oscar and that's about it defensively IMO.

Scottie is a great pick up. I was hoping to get him in the 3rd round, but didn't really think he'd drop in my lap..

I've already commented on Willis :D

He was always savvy with his body when getting contact, and finished more often than not.

I agree with you on him being top 10 and the best defensive guard to have ever played.

That describes about every single point guard who ever played the game. It was a tough call between Payton and another from this era and a much older PG. I'm glad that Payton went to me though.

hey that was not a criticism but a compliment. I know everyone would have an impossible time guarding those guys.
he's a great solid pick up no doubt.

Rick Barry was a steal. Way better pick than DRob even in the top 10.

Better than DRob? Uh no.... Pace-adjust him and it's not close, playoffs included. Guess that's too inconvenient for you to admit though.

Much better value than picking a guard like West in the First though.

DRob was never near the best in the league, let alone history, at anything.

Barry was a pure shooter with range, threat to lead the league in scoring, and as a younger player, a beast on the boards. He was a 6'7" version of Larry Bird, as he was the best passing forward in the history of the game before Bird. He did lead his team to a championship, too.

My problem with Barry is that he never dominated the NBA more than someone like Ray Allen, or Vince Carter for example.

Yes he did. I saw him play MANY times.

In fact, he's a way better pick than Dominique and 'nique was close to Jordan without the rings.

You saw him put up numbers. There's a difference. Ray Allen is just as effective, if not pretty close.

    And I'd rather have Dominique.

    Nique was close to Jordan?
helll no. He was a great scorer who did little else.
Jordan was a great scorer, great defender and great in the clutch.
Nique had his moments in the clutch but could never get past the Celtics or Pistons.
