It's between him and my guy (Archibald) for who's the best player his size ever.

There are players available who have Nash's offensive skills but aren't a liability that you have to compensate for.

He's a big name and won some questionable MVPs, but in a draft like this you don't have to settle for half a player.

His offense is not even clearly better.

Nash is one of the best PG's to ever play. He's top 10 and I'm not the only one who agrees.

Right but I can get some of those lesser loved players later.

I strongly disagree, and there are plenty of people who agree with me, too.

If he never met Mike D'Antoni, he might not even be in this draft at all. He needed a coach to have the nuts to build an entire system around him to reach his potential. Not a lot of players get that luxury.

Ghoti snagged Bernard King who I was absolutely going to pick. Another on that list of better than Vince.

Nash is a top 10 point guard and yes I agree he wouldn't have been this good if it wasn't for D'Antoni, but I don't know how that doesn't make him a top 10 all time PG?

None of these players are clearly better. And VC is a much better playmaker too.

David Thompson wasn't too shabby a pick, either.

Was a shorter version of Jordan without the great defense, but between him and Dr. J, I have two of the truly great dunkers. Thompson scored like 73 points in a game once, and was a perennial threat to win the scoring championship; he blocked two of Walton's shots in an NCAA tournament game at 6'4".

with or without D'antoni Nash is top 10 imo...........even when looking at his statistics based on his career output he's top 10 worthy. He's also clutch, can shoot extremely well from anywhere on the floor, and runs the break as good as anyone.............to be honest if I had good defensive players at the 2 and the 3 I'd make Nash my starter.........

Before becoming a Sun he averaged 12/6 for his career.

    Even now, he's at 14/8.

But the bolded part says it all. He isn't just a great offensive player who didn't concentrate on defense, he is a horrible liability that has to be compensated for with the rest of your roster.

Of course you can put together a great team with Nash starting, but in this draft I don't see a reason to have to do that. There are legendary players available who can play a complete game of basketball.
