Our mission is to not have an adversarial relationship between posters and the staff. It's about you, not us. It's just downright silly to put words in the profanity filter and then have to discipline people for "masked cursing." We've trusted our posters since day 1, and by far they've not abused the ability. We do use the profanity filter for very few words that are truly offensive (e.g. of a hate speech nature). There might be a handful of words in it.
Hes that damn good. Hes bringing the mid-range J back! Yeah like Denny said, we let people do as they please and try not to interfere unless its necessary. The assumption is that its a largely adult-used website anyway (or at least old enough to not whine about swearing).
I think in a world where 13 year old girls wear clothes with the word JUICY stitched on the rear end area that a little bit of off language shouldn't hurt too much. I was at a Target not too long ago where some 9 year old kids were looking at the movie Bad Santa (uncensored version no less) and they were each saying stuff like... This is my favorite F'ng movie man. They weren't masking it as I did either.
