    You are correct, a gas engine that generates electricity is not alternative energy.

    But the boat's primary power source is wind power and wind power is considered an alternative energy.

    I just thought it was an odd complaint and even an odder conclusion he made. He can't use alternative energy as a secondary power source on a boat who gets its primary energy from an alternative power source. Just because he can't use solar panels on a sailboat doesn't mean solar panels are bad or should only be used in space. He can't use a nuclear reactor on his sailboat either but that doesn't mean nuclear power doesn't have it's uses.

    Also I know Marazul and I'm just giving him a bad time. I've been lucky enough to see in person the sailboat he is building and it's amazing. A work of art. You should check it out - https://sites.google.com/site/marazulles/pictures-exterior

    Heh? Sailboat is driven by wind. Electrical systems need some juice. Not enough space on the thing for Solar Panels and no I don't want an Prop whirling on my deck like a Corsair about to depart just to get the juice.
