Shooting him ends the threat. The ideal situation would be to restrain him but he seemed uncooperative to do so. The officers felt a real threat, so shooting him was the best option.

All of it could have been avoided if he didn't resist....

Is there a spectrum for uncooperation? If you struggle, do you deserve to get shot? This could of all been avoided if one of the officers sat on his other arm. Again it could be a culture thing because here in Canada the guns don't come out until it's the only option they have.

His arm was under a car I believe, would have been impossible to "sit" on it.

And if the officer sees you have a gun and you have the ability to reach for it in a struggle and they think you do so then yes, you deserve to get shot. Taking into consideration everything else (reports of threatening people with a gun, resisting arrest).

I don't care if he was fucking a dead baby raw on the street before the cops came. It doesn't matter.

Complete speculation on my part, but maybe the fact that about 150 policemen per year are killed in the US in the line of duty and that 851 in the history of Canada (3 last year) has something to do with the difference in training?

I would imagine so. Guess the U.S doesn't value human life as much as other countries.

Half the country supports abortions for example.

Don't really have an opinion on abortion.

That's fine. I was merely pointing out the hypocrisy of the majority of the left. Supports abortion killing hundreds if not thousands of babies yearly, but has a fucking uproar over the killing of a registered sex offender possibly reaching for his gun while resisting arrest.

Probably due to the higher number of crackaz in Canadia. There is a correlation between white population vs gun violence.

Well, they don't have as many white cops hassling black people in their neighborhoods.

Not as many. The trend is worldwide. Latin American and African nations have signicantly higher rates of gun violence.in fact if you looked only at white gun death rate in the US its pretty low.

I would like to see somebody answer the question, why is the above statement true way too often? Why do they do it?
I saw someone post, Shot while black! Well that isn't quite the case. More like, shot while illegal packing and resisting arrest as black men do.

Why? Why do they do it? Do the police need entirely different procedures for black people? Why?

Being in a car with a "busted tail light" is not putting one's self in "these situations."
