Took me a moment to interpret this correctly. Sadly, the first person I think of when I read "Benedict" is Andy Garcia's casino-owning character from Ocean's 11.
Still remember that playoff series when he absolutely bullied the shit out of Aldridge. We needed a decrepit Dre and a broken down BRoy fresh off a meniscus surgery to even win 2 games in that series.
He'll retire a spur, if not spurn them, or because he was drafted by the Bulls retire as such...either way I hope his jersey never hangs in our rafters
Idk, do you guys think he would be retired? Like Roy he never really did anything in the playoffs, and I think jersey retirements should be left to guys like those, not to mention the fact he lied and fucked the team over. Idk if I would even put him on a "ring of honor" thing, but I would Roy with that.
I remember watching that series feeling like our guys were boys playing with men. Our guys were so young and hadn't started bulking up yet, the Suns were gigantic compared to them.
Good riddance. That picture above reminds of why I can't stand him. I'll never forget him "adjusting" his goggles like that when he elbowed Batum in his surgically repaired shoulder.
I loved watching Amare and Nash work. Nash would work his way down low, like just about only Nash could do, then switch direction and leave a hard dribble off the floor for Amare to get and throw it down. When he went to NY, the first thought I had was, man he is going to miss Nash. He did for sure.
The Nash/Amare, was a rare duo no doubt, but too similiar and not as good as Stockton/Malone. Anytime I think of the first set, I cant help but immediately think of the latter.
There you go, invoke the master with the assist. Stockton has the highest A/M of all time at 2.39. Nash is only 3rd with 1.57 a bit back of Magic Johnson with 1.77. Compare that with todays best, Chris Paul with 1.35
