On the scale of politicians in pockets CEO’s of these companies are on a whole different level. It’s not even close. It will just get worse with Musk around. When the Teamsters are in the pocket of politicians it benefits thousands of families. When CEO’s are, it benefits very few that are already very wealthy.
Yeah, I didn't mean to imply that it was the fault of the Teamsters. But the Teamsters sure didn't prevent it from happening. Honestly, that should have been prevented by congress with Sherman antitrust. Roadway did not want to sell. But she was old and they finally convinced her after years of trying. Somebody (maybe even the government as a mediator or something) should have stepped in and found a way to make her whole while keeping Roadway around as good competition for Yellow.
