    lol, well the question was asked hypothetically who I'd amnesty and CJ was the first to come to mind. I think he virtually had no trade value and his contract will keep the Blazers from competing once his cap number goes up because they won't be able to afford any valuable depth / role players. Not sure if that's Neil's thing but it's my opinion. I think that contract pretty much screws Dame's prime.
    There are other players we could talk about amnestying, I'm not sure why we had to take off and run with it cause I said CJ.

    The reason I said anything is that McCollum is still in his prime, plays at a high level and is owed around 130mil over the next 4 tears after this year and that's a huge chunk just to toss away and then you want to turn around and spend that money on other players. I don't see teams lining up to eat that kind of money without at least looking for a trade. Your first instinct was to just eat the contract.

    It's all a moot point in my book as I don't see an amnesty anytime in the near future.

    Wasnt my first instinct of course Id look to trade him, but it was an answer to the question of the thread.
