I'm not trying to be combative... I just thought it was pretty easy to see that the beef with the article by most (if not all) was that there were omissions. That's all I took the replies at... the jabs at Dave were a result of him missing the information, and that's on Dave.

It sure feels like I won

Labeled a troll and called a martyr is what winning is all about

He could dot every i and cross every t and he'd still get bashed. I have no horse in the race, it's just what I've noticed over the years. That's why I thought the thread would be a shit storm

Nah, I doubt that. That's speculative. I thought the article was decent except for the omissions. A journalist should get all the facts in there, don't you think?

May I make a well-intentioned suggestion? Stick to talking basketball rather than getting side-tracked by the bullshit. When you talk about ball you generally have something worthwhile to add to the conversation. But anytime you get sidetracked by these sorts of discussions everybody loses.

It boils down to this MM:

I don't like people who have a shtick. Your shtick is to come into a thread and play the victim. It gets annoying. You like to try to poke at people who also have shticks. Your shtick is just as annoying and tiresome as their shtick. People who have an agenda, or can't just be a regular poster who wants to talk Blazers, tend to collect labels.

I love his takes on basketball. He can see both sides of things and I can respect that.

Easy there you two. What is paramount is are there tools available now that make it easier for all involved, will help drive traffic and be a medium for much needed original, more professional looking content instead of the cut and pasted links so many sites have now? I think we have a stable of contributors that would help make that happen.

What will it take to create a solution?

Completely. I too thought the article lacked several facts. I just don't think it would have mattered.

I think since it's a "close-to-home" writer that should be very knowledgeable about the team, since it's a team website... felt it very odd they would leave out two current players as Neil Olshey moves.

He deserves to get some flack for missing very obvious (even to a bandwagon fan) moves that a GM made. Any writer would, national or otherwise, it's just this one is a "home-grown" writer, so it's even more puzzling.

    The "always-seeking-approval-sniffing-and-humping-my-leg" shtick?

Dave's article was great! Very well done. It has people arguing on two sites about it. That is some Canzano level stuff. Props!

Actually, I wish you would tone down the comedy just a bit. You know a lot about basketball, but most of your posts are meant to be funny. It's great, but sometimes I wish you'd share your thoughts on the team because I know you have great insight.
