Kevin Martin and Andre Miller fell into his lap towards the end of the year. And did he even have to sell them?

Neil built almost an entire team in one summer and we're in the second round. Buford added a couple role players to a championship caliber team and he gets the award. What a joke.

It's a crock of shit. Nobody did more with less. But I'm not going to personalize it. Awards are BS just like the rest of the league.

That's the thing with Buford - he is always making moves. Many are "small", almost none are bad, and after a while people just take it for granted. This is more of a "lifetime achievement award" than a true EOY.

To put it another way, Olshey did a fine one year tear-down and rebuild. Buford never gets his team in a position that he has to do that.

:dunno: I was more annoyed with Stotts not winning - but neither is really worth getting upset about.

"Team Terry!" "Team Neil!" Fight! :bgrin:

I knew Stotts wasn't going to win as soon as the Warriors broke the record. It was a done deal.

I thought Terry had a good shot, and he got more first place votes, but he got screwed.

Yes, it's a shame neither Neil Stotts nor Terry Olshey won an award.

I think you meant Neil Stotts and Terry Olshey.
