It's not just a product. That's not to say that the time and money you spend on your team can't wax and wane in small ways at times and it usually is a reflection of the product that ownership is allowing to be put out there but I'm sorry if the sports teams or team that you root for goes no further than the product they're putting out are you really even a fan? Like, I'm a basketball fan and I can get into other teams and watch a lot more of them from one season to another but I'm always a Blazers fan... always. I fucking love this team.

Right now I want new ownership, I want new management, I probably want a new coach and I need some roster turnover but I still fucking love this team and will not altogether stop paying attention to them and pick another team for now or whatever the fuck OP was popping off about... that's just not how this fan shit works for me. It's not the army but it's not just a product. It's not an addiction but it's something I will never choose to leave.

This has been my team since I was eight years old. I do not stop watching games. I do not stop paying attention to what reporters local and national are saying about them. I definitely don't pick another team like the OP said they were doing. To me that shit is tantamount to sacrilege. Yeah I've enjoyed a non Blazers game on a night where the Blazers game that I also watched was another brick of frustration on a wall that's become too damn big since Joe fucked shit up with Dame but I'm still a Blazers fan. There will never be a time where it's "and with that I'm out" that's the fucking definition of a fair weather fan and "fair weather fan" is just a polite way of saying, you're not a fan... that's not directed at you but it definitely applies to the OP.

Consume things the way you want to. Live your life. Don't be a fan if you don't want to be a fan. Go ahead and just look at this team has a product but for me being a real fan isn't a take it or leave it proposition from day to day or year to year. The Blazers would have to leave me, like those poor Sonics fans team left them because I'm not leaving... no matter where I am, I'm not leaving my Blazers.

I wouldn't take this personally either. Simply say, "Ha ha. I enjoy my season tickets, and I'm glad I purchased them".

If you really want to drive the point home then explain why you enjoy them.

If Cronin won't trade the big 3 huh? I love posters like you.

Are you sitting in the Blazers front office and know what is being offered to them for the Big 3? Do you not think next season when both Ant and Ayton are on expiring contracts, that they will be more valuable to trade in the offseason when teams are a lot more concerned with the salary cap these days?

We are Blazers fans have been through a lot more worse product than we are seeing, Steve Blake and Juan Dixon days, Travis Outlaw days, Telfair days, Miles and Zbo as our cornerstone days, etc

You guys sound like whining babies straight up!

The negative nancy fans have drove a lot of the good solid posters away from this place, and the negative nancys live on this forum posting 24/7 like there isn't life outside of the Blazers, so sadly the negative peeps dominate this place these days, its worse than Blazer Egde in here now lmao

Incorrect, those years we were a 50 win team, a .500 team, then had 2 seasons of tanking. Next season we had Brandon Roy winning rookie of the year and Aldridge was a great pick too. We also had a great owner that would spend to contend.

Currently we are at 4 years of tanking with no end in sight, and one of the worst ownership/management groups in the NBA. It's clearly worse right now.

Lmao, what the hell are you talking about?
Did you see the names I listed? We were one of the worse teams in the league when we had Steve Blake, Dixon and when we had Outlaw and Telfair. When Zbo and Miles were are cornerstones we were never a 50 team, what are you talking about?

From the 2003-2004 season to the 2007-2008 season, so over 5 years were out of playoffs and finished 10th, 13th, 15th, 12th, 10th….

It’s clearly not worse now you’re crazy for making that statement. I would clearly have a team of potential players like Scoot, Camara, Cling and Sharpe than any combo of Juan Dixon, Blake, Miles and Zbo.

I never said anything about Roy and etc. I was talking bout it’s been worse than this before and it clearly has, you’re one of the guys that’s just a whining crying bunch in here. Go cry more bro.

One of the worst? You mean the group that bought and paid for a g league team, has invested in repairs for the Moda, isn't exactly cutting the salary cap, just put the team on OTA tv, and came up with a sweetheart deal to watch games via league pass?

    That ownership?

You're just proving Danny Marang correct in that fans have no idea how to handle an actual rebuild.

Yes we were having one of the franchisese worst teams for 2 season with Zbo and Miles leading the franchise. Season before that we had Sheed and other leaders - then the following season we had Brandon Roy. That was TWO years while now we are at FOUR years which will likely go to FIVE and maybe beyond next season.

Yes we had five years of missing the playoffs - but we had two of those seasons that were 41-41 (one with Roy/Aldridge/Oden/Rudy/Outlaw/Pryz/Webster exciting core), and one more season with Brandon Roy winning ROY of which were all after Miles played his final Blazers game. All of those 3 years were way more enjoyable than these years of tanking we are currently enduring with no elite future young talent.

If you view the core of Sharpe/Scoot/Clingan as better than Roy/Aldrige/Oden then whatever thats your choice, I found those Blazers years MUCH more enjoyable. Your premise was that those 2005-2007 period were clearly and certainly FAR WORSE than the current period - which is just not true.

Don't take my word for ownership/management being bottom 5 - look at ESPN ranking of franchises and NBA management which has the Blazers at #29 and the overall franchise at #30. If you don't think ownership was clearly better in the 2000's period with Paul Allen spending far and away the most money in the NBA (over $300 million per year adjusted to current cap amounts) I'm not sure what to tell you.
