    .

Other players have a NEED to win, such as the Blazers' own SG. It will be interesting to see how the two personalities mesh. One who just wants to play well, and if the team wins, great, the other who is by all accounts distraught if he scores 40 yet the team loses.

Does Miller have that killer instinct? I didn't see it in that interview, but that doesn't mean he lacks one.

It hasn't worked yet for him. Hopefully things change in Portland. :)

This argument is getting pretty old and tired.

How well did this argument hold up when KG went to Boston?

Or Odom to the Lakers. Or Buck Williams to the Blazers.

There are a thousand examples of good players not winning big until they came to a good team.

Yup, his GM skills have been poor in the past. Hopefully, he builds a really good team around himself in Portland. :)

I stated an obvious fact. I hope it changes in Portland.

Also, comparing KG, who at least won some playoff series and carried a team, to Andre Miller? Come on now.

A bench player who it appears is deemed disposable, and a guy who never won a title in Portland.

I don't understand how me stating an obvious fact about Miller's lack of postseason success would elicit such a response. Do I hope it changes? Of course I do.

Why are Andre Miller's GM skills relevant? Don't we just want him to play point guard and leave the team-building to Pritchard?

So, I don't care if he continues to be bad at creating title-winning 15 man rosters. Here, Pritchard will assemble the rosters. I just want Miller to play well.

So, it's the GM's fault the Miller has never won a playoff series? I don't understand your point. I was replying to your post about Miller and how he views playing. I hope the way you described his view on playing has a change in results in Portland. I don't expect his view to change, but the results need to change.

Not too hard to understand, is it? I like getting Miller, at least more than Hedo/Millsap. Not everything I type is an attack, is it?

No, I was blaming Miller for it, if you read my post. I fully agree that Miller was the man who built the rosters around himself in Cleveland, LA, Denver and Phildelphia.

I was just pointing out that here, in Portland, he won't be responsible for building the roster around himself. Portland has Pritchard do that. So, he'll just be responsible for playing point guard, which he's proven to be good at!

I'd never hire him to be the GM for my franchise. Guy couldn't build a playoff winner in any of his stops. What was he thinking, putting together that crazy mish-mash in LA?

You agree with something I never posted, and ridicule isn't exactly an argument. Whatever. You're losing control of this place for no reason.

Go play 4-square in Imaginary Trade Land. That rocks. ;)

If Miller didn't build those teams, why is his playoff legacy relevant?

No. I am causing all the riots that are happening in this place for a very important reason.

Fair enough. Then no player is ever to fully credit for a title. Michael Jordan doesn't have 6 titles; Jerry Krause does, and Jordan was lucky he didn't have Miller's GMs.

Jerry Krause is the greatest player of all time.

Since you're kind of a "GM", I suppose you are causing it. :dunno:

Full credit? Nope. No player wins games or titles alone.

No, he was a pretty good GM. Inherited Jordan, but added Pippen, Grant, Rodman, Harper and a lot of the various complementary pieces. One doesn't have to be a player to contribute.

On the face of things, he appears to be a guy who doesn't work when he doesn't have to (summer) has never fit in on a team enough to make them want to keep him, doesn't care much about winning as long as he gets paid, but seems quite intelligent and well-spoken.

No way he takes the starting spot from one of the hardest working PG's in the league (Blake) who's probably going full speed on a court in 90 degree weather as I post this.
